  1. Here are the specs: NDT case and dial Serviced gen 1570 movement Gen service bezel Gen crown/tube Gen hands Gen crystal Gen Jubi bracelet
  2. IMO the 111 will give you less trouble. The 104 is built on an Asian based 7750. There's just more to go wrong there. Good luck Marty
  3. CG screw? http://panatime.com/crguscforpaw.html
  4. It's all part of the disease
  5. The gen hands make the watch. I think the dial is fantastic, now that the hands match. I have not seem many rep frog's foot dials. I saw no reason the drop another $1500 on a gen dial. The service bezel may have been overkill, but I was only doing this once
  6. A couple of quick pics. I think it turned out great!
  7. The gen hands will make a big difference. Only a nut would buy the service bezel Here's a pic of Yuki hands, next to the gen hands. The difference is subtle, but noticeable. The hour hand is significantly shorter, the lume does not go as far into the tip of the hand and the tip is more blunt on the gen hands.
  8. Thanks Freddy. This is my 50th birthday present from me to me
  9. My 1655 built on an NDT case and dial, is on its way back from the watchmaker. I hope it will be here tomorrow. I had the 1570 movement serviced, added gen hands, a gen service bezel, gen crystal and gen crown/tube. A gen 78360 is on its way to finish it off Here's how it looked before I sent if off to be serviced (the gen crystal is already installed).
  10. Sorry, the watch is at the watch maker. It's a 1570, but a GMT. There are plenty of them out there. Here's one from a 1675. It comes with all of the hands and it's only $1700. Less the hands, it's a $1400 movement. They are not that hard to find. http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1251730582/
  11. Someone needed the money I guess. I was in the right place at the right time.
  12. No fu@king way. I almost [censored] myself when I am on 6' ladder.
  13. Mine is at the watch maker being serviced and assembled. I was lucky to find a complete NDT 1655 on the forum for $1,100. I added a gen service bezel $700. Gen hour, minute, second hands $300 (if you can find a gen 24 hr hand in decent condition, plan of paying $300 for it alone). Gen crown/tube $100. Gen crystal $90 and a gen bracelet $600. I have about $2900 + plus the cost of the service in mine. I got lucky. The movement is a gen GMT, not converted. I am happy with the NDT dial, but as Automatico said, if you go for a gen dial, figure $1000 or more. Is it worth it? Who knows. It's my grail watch and my 50th birthday present from me to me. I didn't have $15k lying around, so this was the next best thing
  14. Now the word of VRF is that the dials and bezels are fake. http://www.network54.com/Forum/207593/message/1320093033/The+seller+of+the+milsub+dials+has+better+scans

  17. There are a few franken fiddys out there with lots of gen parts. They are the best. The EL cased fiddys are next in line. Do your homework. There are plenty of posts on the subject. Marty
  18. The thickness of the Yuki hands look to be correct, but they are too long. The tip of the hands are more blunt on the gen hands and the lume does not extend as far into the tip of the hands and extends further into the base of the hands. The Yuki minute hand is much closer to the gen. The tip on the gen is more pointed and the lumed ball on the hand is larger (it also looks slightly larger on the base of the hand).
  19. It definitely fits. The bezel could fit a hair tighter, but it is snug. I solved that with a gen bezel
  20. I found gen hour, minute and second hands last night
  21. I have found a gen hour, minute and second hand for my 1655 project. What a fair price to pay for them? Thanks. Marty
