  1. Got it. If I remember correctly, the inner bezel was fixed. I never really noticed whether it was aligned or not. Hm.
  2. Thanks for the info. I will keep the faith!
  3. My bezel was only misalligned because I'd had it turned and forgot to correct it for the picture. Make no mistake, there were zero quality flaws with that TAG. I think TAG gets a bad rap from watch snobs -- the thing was absolutely bullet proof.
  4. Good fonts, both date and branding. Can it be so hard!?!?
  5. I can't say whether mine had AR or not. I will say that there was absolutely ZERO blueish tint effect, but the crystal didn't reflect every object. If it was there, it was slight. Bottom line -- I'm not sure that the AR would be the giveaway.
  6. This one is no longer with me, so this recent day/date is intriguing. It would have been interesting to compare the two. Has anyone purchased it yet?
  7. Gawd, I hate those canteen-style crowns. Ugh.
  8. I'm interested, too. I just sold a genuine black dial -- it was a great watch, and someone on this board got a very good deal. Mine was the date only version, 41.5mm. I think I'd like the 43mm version much better, and I think this watch might be ripe for a gen swiss 7750 transplant....
  9. It sure is.... something.
  10. I think this post may answer a few of your questions. http://www.rwg.cc/members/Daylight-with-so...ins-t41027.html
  11. The old 7750 has the same flaws as the old 7753. Here, I can spot that the numbers are too thin, the fonts are too small, the dial is too shiny, the subdials don't have the little rings in them (like a circular pattern). Did The Zigmeister paint your subdial hands black?
  12. Chief, the dial came from Angus.
  13. Well, the pictures seem to have gone POOF, so I have uploaded them directly. [a ttachment=14558:DL4.JPG] Kruzer, the dial was not laquered -- but it doesn't look shiny to me at all through that crystal. Comparing the old dial to the new, well, there simply is NO comparison. On the old dial, the fonts are wrong, the spacing is wrong, the numbers are wrong, the subdials are wrong. Everything is wrong. They may have gotten the case right, but that's it. I went round and round on the OEM crown for this because the CG lever had been shaved to fit the Lello crown. I finally decided just to leave the Lello and use the OEM for something else. I think it was the right decision. The CG on this is, well, genuine, so it more than makes up for the crown, which looks pretty good I think. Kruzer, do you agree? Guys, if you have the old style case with the old dial, please do yourselves a favor and get the new dial. There are those of us on the boards that can point you in the right direction.
  14. It's a Finepics date wheel. I should have added that mine has single side AR as well. It's a fantastic effect.
  15. Swiss 7753 New dial Old case OEM Crown Guard Superlume Upgraded Date Wheel Lello crown Ziggified (CAN I GET A WITNESS!!! ) ENJOY!!!
  16. Are those the standard hands, or are they modded, as well? They look a bit longer than mine.
  17. I really, really like that one. Can you tell me where you got it?
  18. I'm not sure gorillas can be "gay."
  19. Zig, now you're just showing off!
  20. Last I checked with him (about 6 months ago) he did have a 118 dial. Tobacco and painted.
  21. Dammit, dammit, dammit. Great looking watch, and now I want one. If the GMT functions half worth a s**t, I'm buying this. Post some updates once you've had a chance to figure it out. Thanks!
  22. Guys, I'm sorry if this question has been asked and answered, but the one to buy if you're doing the Swiss swap is the slow beat, is it not? Isn't this a hands compatibility issue?
  23. I like these watches, but I just know that they'd never see real wrist time. Love the PAMs too much. Then again, the 3717 might have to be an exception. That one would see wrist time, especially with the ETA 7750 transplant. SEXY!!
  24. You deleted the reference to the 104. Any reason for that?
