  1. Valid point. It would be great to have a 1:1 000 or something.
  2. Great watch! I haven't seen that rep before. What's the engine?
  3. Let me tell you what I would like to see 1. A PROPER 063 dial that allows the hand length to be perfect. 2. A quality 188 dial. Those of you that have them know the fonts are way way too thin.
  4. Well then I shall have to remedy that. Donation made.
  5. How do we know if we've been automatically downgraded. I'm showing as a VIP, but if I need to pony up again, I certainly will. This site has been great.
  6. Will the new Lello datewheel be for all A7750 PAMs?
  7. My next move would be to send it to The Zigmeister. When you get it back from him you KNOW it's going to be perfect. Seems to me that would be the better alternative than hoping it's working correctly. The 112 issue is VERY minor, wouldn't bother sending that one back.
  8. I think the E looks better. Though it looks like there's some pretty good CDG markings on the H, the "OFFICINE PANERAI" is still way off. Chris, can you confirm that the watch next to your gen 183 is the new high-beat Asian E?
  9. 1. The AD inspection 2. Pool time with my daughter. The AD was unintentional. I went in to the store to buy a rubber strap, and the jeweler insisted on changing the strap -- he was trying to be nice. It was 100 degrees outside, and I wanted to wear the strap so I capitulated. He changed it, inspected it and said it looked wonderful. I compared it to the newer version (they had a blue dial), and I could detect only two differences; (i) the pearl; and (ii) the date font. Mine is one of the first batch with the non-standard ETA font, but it's still too small when compared with gen. The pool was a revelation. I took it in the water, nervous the entire time? What if I got one like Rolli that wasn't water resistant? But it was. I had no worries or second thoughts about it. People, if you don't have this watch, get it. This is an example of watch that's a great WATCH for $300, not a great REP. It just happens to be a rep. Color me impressed.
  10. Oof. The "who has" question. Who has the best search engine feature?
  11. I think a lot of the 'Risti think that all reps are of terrible quality, and should be avoided on that basis alone. But a growing number are increasingly concerned, not because they feel like the genuine article aren't worth it, but because they are increasingly difficult to spot.
  12. If nothing else, it shows that it can be done! Keep us posted.
  13. Some of you may think this is silly, but I'd really love to see this watch in a head-to-head with the SFSO. I swap to the Swiss 7750 might make it more of a fair fight, but switching to the ETA datewheels and an overhaul on the A7750 might make it a more cost effective way of doing it. Looks like the case details are great.
  14. Ok, here you go. Any more of this, and you guys will say I'm just padding the post count!
  15. No, not a decent watch. Given all of the "super duper amazing powermax" reps out there, you'd be better off passing on this one. There are many better alternatives out there.
  16. Not picking on you, of course! But I'm amazed at the post counts of some of the newer members -- well, newer than me, anyway. The forum is alive and well, and it's the better for all the activity. Keep it up, people. Maybe I can learn from you, and eventually I will cross 300 posts!
  17. I've got a Swiss version and it's a nice bracelet, but not as nice as the gen -- no real surprise there. I've heard that they use the same bracelet, and the only difference is the movement and the AR. Either way, though, you won't be disappointed from what I've heard.
  18. Very nice. I won't say that the AR makes the watch, so this is me NOT saying that the AR makes the watch. These are real beauties, even if the AR makes the watch!
  19. I think the tourbillon wouldn't look right on the face. What they've done is innovating enough. The tourbillon mechanism rotates twice per minute on its own axis -- very, very cool. There is one Panerai out there with a tourbillon in the face -- only two of them exist -- and it's gawd awful.
  20. What's amazing is the number of posts in such a short amount of time. You make me feel guilty!
  21. According to Flavor Flav, this one is an H-series? I agree that the new E-series from DSN is the best looking yet, but Chris was awfully impressed by the new H. Maybe he'll see this and post some pictures.
