  1. No love for the TWs then? I'd get a Franken too, this looks a bit gaudy. Plus I don't like that they are produced in CN but cost as much as some Frankens. Get a Seiko or a Citizen if you want a great watch. Seiko Kinetics look like this one, but MUCH more stylish and integrated design...
  2. The three double-dials are modeled on MB&F watches, which are very cool. The last 50mm covertible watch also has a counterpart in the gen world which I have read about before. Not sure of their accuracies with respect to the gens, but definitely a bit of fun. The killers are those horrible looking straps. But I reckon If you removed them and sent them to a good strapmaker for sizing, you'd have a really unique piece
  3. Dated a girl who took these types of pics of herself. Turned out to be a hugely self-absorbed fruitcake. I would say avoid at all costs. As for giving her one, well... That's a different story...
  4. If tou get a watch with a busy dial, go all the way. First one looks cool
  5. Touché Mel Are you perchance providing this information based on personal experience? Or simply providing with a delightful truism? I suspect if it's the former and not the latter, you've just jumped a further couple of rungs in forum popularity
  6. +1,000,000. Hit the nail on the head with that comment.
  7. Sometimes it pays to have boobs, eh Plai? Welcome to the forum Mel. We look forward to your wrsitshots. ...sometimes it's nice to see a hairless wrist, especially with some of the gorillas that post... I KID gents, I KID!
  8. What a great strap! BOB Marino, you say...
  9. So in summary, this Boneta group was importing watches from a place that Rolex allowed to sell for a cheaper price than normal. This is illegal because? I can't believe that there is a law in place whose purpose is nothing more than to maximize a companies' profit. If this Boneta wants to buy watches and sell them for a profit, isn't that the definition of a free market economy? Rolex are seriously twisting the screws on their dealers from all sides.
  10. 100% The two watches (Luminor and 1950's Luminor, aka Mini Fiddy) are completely differently shaped at the lugs. The bands are not interchangeable.
  11. Actually it's not good that the dealers post online either, but they don't reference the forums. This clown referenced the forum directly, which is a big no no
  12. Just put my 111h on an identical bracelet, for a bit of a change and BAM! Really pops on a bracelet. Having said that... A 328 on a croc is still my daily wearer by far... PAMs and crocs go hand in hand...
  13. SOSF... Of course... Best Navi OTB rep by far... Everything is great on these, the date wheel is an unfortunate issue but Francisco has shown it's not insurmountable
  14. What a retard... The title for those interested is 'Replica Panerai watch' at the 'Tube. Things like this put a lot of heat on the forums and dealers and is just unnecessary. The man has an Australian accent. His mispronunciation of three of the four companies he mentioned screams 'moron', and I doubt he is a member of RWG. The most recent video comment IS probably from one of our forum colleagues though
  15. The folks around here love BoB straps, save yourself the inevitable skin rash and get yourself a mice replacement. There is nothing to do with the rep straps, they stink.
  16. Tons of great makers but HKTAN and Orloff are my favourites
  17. Grabbed a PAM bracelet and gator strap from Rojj, excellent forum member and great to deal with.

  18. That's a great little collection there mate, very sweet
  19. That is a great shame, and couldn't happen to a more considerate dealer on the forum. I hope it works out for you mate.
  20. I couldn't agree more. The issue is that the war serves the longer-term bipartisan interests of the US and the West in general. By creating a further presence in the Middle East and securing the flow of a significant percentage of the World's oil reserves, it allows energy to be sold in a free-market economy. Establishing a democratically-elected government and ousting a dictator would be much more conducive to this outcome. I would not e surprised if the Liberals on the commitee agreed on WMDs, nor was I surprised when they blamed their intel analysts on bad information. WMDs never mattered. As far as the short terms of politicians and its broader implications, I couldn't have said it better. The US is in a difficult financial position and nothing but a long, protracted depression and a serious tightening of the purse will see her through. Dismantling the Fed would be a start in the right direction.
  21. Are you suggesting your former president's business acumen was better? Just watched Oliver Stone's 'W' yesterday evening. Clearly liberally biased, but interesting viewing nevertheless. I'm not sure if business acumen is a quality one should want in a President. Bush/Cheney certainly had enough foresight to seize the business opportunity that presented itself in the Middle East.
  22. Happy to help: Breitling Navitimer World (rep) caseback: Odd number of sides, so the flat end of one aligns with the point of another, but you can determine this easily with vernier calipers. Unfortunately sold off my Datora and Tricompax Navitimer. I'll have a look at the Montbrillant Legende tonight for you. Cheers mate
