  1. Most welcome, however I have an ulterior motive... you guys are all my "Guinea Pigs" i'm looking forward to a 320 review and a comment on the sunken date wheel before jumping in
  2. You finally got it wet? That's a big step C
  3. So who DOES have the best sub? Noone is as gentle and caring as PeteM to guide you through the pitfalls and tribulations of Noobdom. Many of the members are looking forward to the Angus / Puretime 312/20/59 release, should be a matter of days so you asked the question at exactly the right time
  4. These questions remind me of some recent posts regarding waterproofing and such I've read the Watch Snob for a while now, the writers (and there are more than one, I guarantee it) always put on a good-natured rubbing. Perhaps we could answer those banal questions with similar zest?
  5. This guy would have done far far better to pay full retail at his local watch store... In-house guarantee, return to base, and would have saved a bundle... It's utterly ironic and almost laughable that the rep dealers here are so eager to help. Considering the exorbitant costs for gens, one would think decent customer service is what contributes to the watch costing so much. Stories like the above make one's blood boil...
  6. See, you guys are looking at this ALL wrong... You need to see it in context... There... Now doesn't it all make sense???
  7. Oh, I dunno about that... This pretty fly too... Perhaps you meant this? And I'd bet you a yellow Rolls Royce Drophead you wouldn't say no to that...

    Knives :)

My point exactly, I'm assuming you also have a CCW license and are well versed and well trained in its use. A pocket knife is equally deadly and obviously very available, hence the comment. I didn't say don't buy them, I'd love to have one of these Microtechs, I wouldn't carry it on a night out on the town though Still getting a flak jacket for my 'roo though, he's a friendly bastard but all you Yanks want to do is blow his head off with your .45's! P.S. The last time I saw a kanga was about 5 years ago, and it was on the side of the road and very much dead
  9. Mike, we've got the answer Unix over here sold all his PAMs, and obviously Breitling has repaid his dedication by sponsoring all his reps...
  10. I thought the 44mm was big... Holy crapola! That thing looks HUUUGE! (just going to drop in a pre-emptive "that's what she said" )
  11. That Fiorillo did some great work on his first batch... The new divers look fantastic too
  12. Breitlng sponsor all sorts of events, they are also heavily involved in the Red Bull Air Race series (almost every pilot is wearing a superquartz B-1 or similar). This achievement is pretty special, but no doubt costly. It should be no wonder that they charge 5000+ bucks for a 350 dollar movement in a stainless steel case But credit where credit is due, they make some gorgeous pieces. I'll always be a Breitling guy (even though I wear a PAM 111 daily)
  13. Now that's not something you see often :)Very nice Reserve de Marche
  14. On its own, it doesn't look too bad actually, but it is ABSOLUTE SACRILEGE to do that to a vintage piece... I'm having a growing appreciation for these vintage Daytonas, especially the panda dials... Gorgeous watches.
  15. I caught this before it got nuked, it WAS a pretty clever post, if I'm fair to the OP... Paraphrased loosely... "I'm having trouble uploading pictures of my (insert watch model) and it's a shame because It's (insert amazing-sounding description of said watch) and I was wanting to sell it... Nicely played

    Knives :)

Hahaha! Bite me Hike Yanks and their preoccupations with concealed weapons... I have found the need to take Krav Maga lessons because of concealed-carrying crazies like you! But this retracting knife genuinely irks me. It's obviously much easier to obtain than a gun, and it's so small it could probably be concealed easily, you just don't know who could be carrying one. Take home point, I'm getting my kangaroo a kevlar-blocked bullet-proof vest...

    Knives :)

That's an automatic knife, are you allowed to carry those where you're located? It worries me knowing that people have these in their pockets...
  18. What about this Daunwaun from 2006? Just finished reading the thread, what an a-s-s-h-a-t
  19. Can you make sterling silver buckles without the skulls and oxidation? Same shape, just without the finishing steps?
  20. This is one to add to the ever-growing list... Great detail on the movement too... How's the AR? It doesn't look like any mods are required for this one? Even the lume is apparently very good.
  21. That small red hand on the Yachtie, is that for timing a specific type of 10-hour long Yacht race? Jeeez!
