  1. I'm nursing a semi-grown just looking at that... gotta love those panda dials.
  2. Should fit at the last hole. The 115/75 is designed to fit most people. You'll just have a long tail.
  3. Easy. Orloff Tan JV with electric blue stitching... That'll look nuts
  4. Awesome flight, camera work an editing were done by the biggest hacks imaginable...
  5. Haha had a colleague a while ago ask me about my brand new Sead Ultimate 111H the day I started wearing it, he said rather more nonchalantly than I expected, 'Nice watch', and went about his business. He certainly noticed it, but could have cared less. What gets people about PAMs is the Crown Guard. It's a very noticeable feature, and what immediately identifies Luminor cased PAMs. However, if he's have said "3-400 bucks" I'd have been [censored] hehehe
  6. Look at the left side of that case... Finally, Breitling are starting to understand that unique Millesimation numbers and 'Limited Editions' move pieces... It's just a 7753 Navi with a Montbrillant dial, it's not really a new technical achievement. The Hour/Min/Sec/Day/Date/Month/24hr/3 register Chrono 7751 is an insanely more awesome movement... Nice finish on this movement though...I suppose there's not really much to improve on perfection... )
  7. 1. Montbrillant Legendé 2. Navi World 3. Montbrillant Datora 4. Navitimer
  8. Real comedians tell the truth in a way that makes people laugh at themselves. Chris Rock is another example of what I would consider a political activist, masquerading as a comedian, just like our friend George Carlin here. Carlin tells it like it is, but particularly in the second video about life on Earth, eloquently argues that we are, as a science teacher once explained, a mere sneeze in the lifetime of Planet Earth. It's hard to find people who express the truth as honestly and as thoughtfully as Carlin.
  9. The 'JV' or Jules Verne strap refers to a very specific type of strap released by Panerai which is characterized by a croc/gator grained strap being processed to look like a nubuck strap. These straps (which are very nice) are not Croc/gators and therefore not JV-style straps. Thought it was important to clarify
  10. Awesome thread, I spent all morning reading about the No. 106 and the replica 1106 commissioned by Hayek, thought I'd add this picture: Great writeup, you obviously put in a lot of effort even with paraphrasing the various sources. I'd encourage everyone to read about the stolen (and thankfully, recently recovered) No. 106. The rep/gen comparisons, particularly of the tourbillon movements, is a very interesting read also.
  11. If they set them at the actual prices, noone would come to the auction they always hope for the bidders to get swept up in the moment
  12. I'm amazed at the lack of distortion in the images, nicely done!
  13. To the OP, I had a skeletonised 6497-based luminor fall out of the waist pocket on a hoodie (put it there during a weights session to be safe, forgot it was there when I took it off , it landed on the flat side and made identically the same size dint in identically the same spot. It fell onto a tile floor, the crystal popped out and the movement dislodged, it looks identical to the pictures you listed. I can almost guarantee the same thing happened to the 26. PP is a great system, but shows its inherent flaws when there is no information about the purchase, such as an eBay description. The only thing to do that would be 100% effective is to set up a forum-based escrow system, and that would be bad for so many reasons. There is no easy solution, hopefully you can recoup your costs by selling off the bits as parts, and getting yourself a shiny new 26. Good luck mate.
  14. Hahahahahahaha very nice
  15. Hahahahahahaha very nice
  16. I was certain it was that listing, I avoided it because of the lack of effort he into describing the watch. I have found a significant correlation between Information in the post, and quality of wrapping. What does the forum recommend as a possible course of action for our unfortunate friend? If he will not give a refund, I'd say PP dispute is the only way, claiming damage due to clearly inappropriate packaging.
  17. Who's going to have the most venerated 005/1200?
  18. What a moron, make sure to let him kbow that unless he puts everything right, he knows that you WILL post his details here. There is not a hope in hell that anyone on the boards will do business with a mouth-breather like this... Two watches in the same bag...
