Well, you're wearing an Asian 7750 powered Breitling, so best to find someone rep-friendly who can clean and service the movement for you. Other than that, there is nothing other than keeping it wound and cleaning it regularly that need doing. Just wear and enjoy

Get a Fiddy have a look at the 47mm 1950 style cases, they are quite substantial with excellent wrist presence, and a certain utilitarian charm. IWC make the Big Pilot, which comes in a few sizes, but sounds to me you're looking for a Breitling Super Avenger. Thick case, thick bracelet, should do the trick

Not sure what process Sead uses for the dial, the problem is that without the depression, the number cutouts sit on top of the lume and appear shallower as a result, falsely projecting the thickness of the top plate. I have a 111h Ultimate from him, whatever he does, the lume is excellent and the sandwich dial looks great

Agreed, but MMA said it immediately hard-reset itself. That would imply another much stronger effect, although the battery would run itself down very quickly due to the Faraday cage created by the closed magnetic field. Some genuine science at work here. Seems that the safe is electrified, and the bolt release is controlled by an electrical coil created a magnetic field, retaining the bolt in place. As the correct password is entered the bolt retracts. But that can't be true, what if the power shuts off?

Some watches such as the non-chrono PAMs are rated to 300m in their gen counterparts, the Breitling SOSF to some hundreds more. Their design is inherently water-resistant, so it makes sense that with the right gaskets and greasing, these should at least get a solid 5-10 bar water resistance. The ones to stay away from are the super-deep divers like the DSSD and the Planet Ocean, the He valve does not function correctly in the reps and is a liability in terms of water-resistance.. I'd recommend a Seiko Diver's watch as your 'wet' watch. Classic design, well-under-rated water resistance, plus they are available online at excellent prices. A minor point, but an important one. No watch is 'waterproof' by definition, they can only be rated to a depth of water-resistance.

Sounds plausible, I don't think the designers consider how far the magnetic field would penetrate into the safe. Interesting theory, I'll look into it.

Good question. They have a standard A7750 mvmt and there is no obvious reason for the high cost.
