  1. I have the best sub. Cost me a helluvalotmore than 500 though.....
  2. It's his 074 (black dial and bezel) or 075 (black dial and green bezel [LV]). Use only the number in the subject line and be short, clear, and concise about any question you may have. Respect his time and he will do the same......just my personal experience.
  3. Hi, Understand that what follows is only my opinion. You asked.....so here it is. It's an $88 item. Already shipped back and forth.....money...and more importantly....time lost on both ends of the deal. While it's probably frustrating to you that the item does not work properly.....it's time to cut your losses and let it go. The dealer obviously cared enough to work with you regarding whatever issues there were in the beginning.....that's why it was shipped back and forth. They paid, out of whatever profit there was in 88 bucks, to ship at least a second time. Money is important....but so is time. I don't know what your time is worth to you....but to have shipped it back and forth.....take it to a dealer for an estimate.....try to make up your mind what to do.....take the time to post for opinions....then wait and watch the board to see what others say.....you've already lost much more value than 88 lousy dollars. Money can be replaced. Time can't. Whatever happened.....it's done. If the item is a lemon.....that stinks.....but it's not worth the effort you've already put into it. Keep it....practice modding on it.....take it apart to see how it works....sell it for parts.....drag it behind the car on the way to work.....whatever. Maybe you can let the dealer know...and if you still want that item....they might cut you a deal on a replacement to avoid further hassle with this one watch. If not....so be it.....let it go. It's only a rep....it's only 88 bucks.....and if that's a major issue....then, respectfully, this may not be the right hobby for you. It's always a gamble. Gamble with the play money.....not the grocery money.
  4. WOW!! That truly is a beautiful item...and a work of art!
  5. I don't know what's going on with these things......but I'm thinking about taking my S&W on fishing trips from now on......
  6. Now THAT'S one of the smartest, truthful, and most insightful statements ever made!
  7. Pardon me while I duck out of the way...... I'm not so noob as to not know what's coming......
  8. She probably needs more than 1 drink for an "article 20".....
  9. This is on the original topic how????........ zzzzzzzzzzzz.......
  10. Well actually...yes I do. A "beef" (if you will) that I expressed to you in a private email. I sent you that email....not about the product I had received....but in regards to another product you had offered that I was interested in. In spite of receiving a disappointing product....I sincerely wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt...and considered another purchase...thinking that my negative experience might be some kind of fluke. I had only asked for your consideration. I'll allow for the fact that you may have had a bad day. If so....that's too bad...but tomorrow can always be better. There's no need to take it to the level you might wish to. There is no need for such animosity over such a minor issue. If you could be bothered to actually read your mail.....you would see that I clearly offered (privately) to send the item back to you....and told you clearly that if you (considering you to be a man of honor) believed my concerns to be invalid......you could keep the item, my money, and re-sell the item if you wished. I'm not concerned about you stealing from me (my definition). I'm only concerned about other members buying into the hype and spending their money when they may not realize what the ride could truly bring them. At the end of the day....it's just a watch.....and not even a real one.....
  11. Depends on your definition of "value". At least the aforementioned items give you something for your cash... Funny.....I didn't see this pearl of wisdom in the "10 reasons to buy" list. Perhaps we have number 11..... caveat emptor
  12. It does seem that this review has sparked a great deal of interest....and potential business....for a certain dealer. Can't even buy advertising like that..... . As with any purchase....buyers should consider every aspect. If you purchase one of these and are unhappy with it for any reason....there is a chance....only a chance mind you....that communication attempts may yield you nothing. If this far fetched event does occur.....just know ahead of time that your $100 will buy you one dandy paperweight. It's OK to gamble....as long as you remember you are gambling.....and don't spend the grocery money. I'll be going back to work now.....as my papers are underneath a beautiful 074 paperweight.....
  13. The amount of free time some people have boggles the mind. I know why the aliens haven't landed.....they see stuff like this and just know that we aren't ready....
  14. For now... Omega SMP chrono Rolex TT sub blue face
  15. And the amazing thing is that no matter how beautiful any of them are..... SOMEwhere.....there's SOMEbody who's tired of of f@$%ing that........
  16. When I go to the Dealers section....subforum TTK...my screen shows only one post....the pinned "how to order".
  17. If you could clarify this procedure...I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure that I'm not the only owner of the dull band syndrome.
  18. Without a "sales number" in the photo....what is the process for asking product related questions or ordering?
  19. This whole issue of dealing with PayPal seems to rear it's ugly head every once in a while. I would very much like to get some feedback on the process and the experiences that members and dealers have had. The benefit for buyers is simple. It is easy to complete a purchase without giving away too much personal information and credit card numbers that could be sold at a later date. The problem for sellers is that we hear of accounts being suspended or amounts being taken away due to disputes. To the dealers....are your accounts set up as personal or business? Business accounts offer greater protection and more resolution tools. There is not much required to have an account set up as "business". The reports we see of PayPal issues don't need to happen....and are easily avoidable. The dispute resolution process is quite clear....and is not escalated to review status initially. My attempt is to gather information regarding your experiences so that I may offer assistance. My business is internet marketing and sales....with a large percentage of transactions completed through PayPal. While there have been disputes....there has never been a situation in which my account was "suspended" or disrupted in any way. Experiences can be PM'd or posted.
  20. It is a difficult situation....and always will be. My time away from the boards is spent running an internet based business. I average 200 emails and 50 phone conversations per day. Each of my employees averages 1/4 of that...every day. The BIGGEST problem we have is trying to remain centered and human every day. If you're a dealer...you get real tired real quick with stupid questions, unrealistic expectations of customers, chargebacks with no communication beforehand, abusive idiots, people who are convinced that you have nothing else going on than to deal with their concerns (within minutes), and all the other asinine problems the average human can create. As a customer...you're on the other side. You feel that your time researching is worth something. You absolutely feel that your money has value and the fact that you have chosen to spend this valued commodity with a vendor should merit their respect and attention....in both product and service. It's a real [censored] when you can see it from both sides....and make an argument for each. It's like when you are driving. When you're doing the speed limit...not pressed....enjoying the radio....it's all good......and the guy riding on your bumper is a tailgating a$$hole. When you're late for something and the guy in front of you is doing the speed limit...not pressed....enjoying the radio....HE'S the a$$hole who won't get out of the way. The average dealer wants customers who are at least somewhat educated on what they would like to purchase...asks questions that haven't been answered 100 times before....have somewhat of an understanding of the product offered....have realistic expectations...and are not in need of a new best friend. Their time is valuable to them...and they can't (and shouldn't) live their business 24 hours a day because yet another idiot want's a flawless sub for 100 bucks. The average buyer wants, above all, honesty and respect. Honesty in the product offered. Don't show a picture of something staged in a fabulous manner that has no resemblence to what you will ship. If you drop ship and are only an order taker....say so. If you claim to inspect every product...then at least remove the standard wrapping to make it less obvious that you actually don't. Respect in that the buyer has some idea that their hard earned money means something. Answer legitimate questions...acknowledge payment received...provide tracking number. The rep world is no different than the world we deal with every day. Deal with honesty....have respect for others....and arrogance will always come back to bite you in the butt. Don't ever forget that every day you'll run into an a$$hole.......and every day you are someone else's a$$hole. It's only a matter of perception based on circumstance.
  21. The picture of the item does look good to someone as new as I am as well. What I'm curious about is that I could swear I read somewhere that genuine Rollie pix have the hands at 10:10. I did notice that the sellers' items I looked at were all at 10:10. If my memory is correct...then couldn't these be pix of gens...and what you get could be quite different? Just a thought.
  22. Then, by all means, avoid the dreaded "bearded clam"!
  23. This one is not a thing of the past. I opened my new case lid just yesterday and saw this.
  24. Great information....and very timely for me. One question though. When applying the glue...is it best to form a complete ring around the bezel or simply place drops at intervals? Thanks in advance.
  25. And Santa Claus rides with all our gifts in tow.....and the Bunny brings us peeps..... "The central element in a fluorescent light is a plasma, a gas made up of free-flowing ions (electrically charged atoms) and electrons (negatively charged particles). " Feel free to review an additional resource here: http://www.dtvcity.com/plasmatv/howplasmaworks.html I've been where you are at in facing a large purchase decision on a tv display...more than once. It's obvious that you won't find accurate information here. Research before you purchase....while keeping in mind the factors that are important to you. Do your homework....as there are many resources available....and don't get stuck on the treadmill.... "Jane! Get me off this crazy thing!".....
