You can believe me on this or not,,it sounds far fetched but it did happen.. I was at the Bellagio in Las Vegas while they were filming Oceans 11. I got to meet Andy Garcia between scenes he had walked over near me (they have the filming area taped off) he was talking to some in the crowd and I noticed what appeared to be a solid gold Piaget. I said "man, that's a sharp watch" he basically said that it is just a prop (I didnt ask him if it is your standard replica) I did ask him if he gets to wear his own watch and he responded that it depends on the film. If he is dressed casual and there is no specific reason why he cant wear a watch he will wear his, but if it's a dressy scene, they make actors wear a specific piece picked out by wardrobe supervisor. They were filming at 2am. I was able to see Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia but not Brad Pitt or the other main actors. It was really neat to meet him and to be able to talk with such a crowd watching.

You're wearing that! lol.. It's wrist check time.. show me your wrists! (but not too much skin please) Do I get any extra credit for starting the mid-week wrist check here on RWG? Anything at all? Damn.. tough crowd! I've decided to go with this PVD on Wednesday and my 183 for Thursday. I think it's going to be a Cousteau Weekend! Thursday

Start-Of-The-Week Wristcheck (3-4 Dec 2007)
Daytona4me replied to Victoria's topic in General Discussion
I'm surprised I dont have a wrist shot of this, but only my show off shots.. sorry.. I'll have to do some wrist shots when I have more time. I dont wear it as much as I could (I just dont want anything to happen to it) but I'll be wearing it at least once this week. -
wow BT, did you just recognize the picture or what?? How did you come into that info? I checked the image source for that photo but it was nothing I could work backwards on .. ?

markers are straight, logo is aligned correctly, second hand length is good, orange color is correct, I cannot remember where the correct placement of the HE Valve is supposed to be.... If the guy can take photos like this he should not have a problem taking the caseback off and shooting the movement for you if you are a serious buyer. Dont act on my comments, wait for others to chime in, I'm not an expert on these..

No time is ever to late to do an intro on yourself, communities like this really make this hobby even more fun and is beneficial in so many ways. Maybe I'll have to start drafting an into for myself.. It's good to have you here,, join in on the posting,, you can read for a long time but it seems that you will learn a lot more through partaking in active discussions (at least that is what I found way back when).

George was mentioned, he's on RWC, just his photobucket and password in his section http://replica-watch.cc/forum/index.php?board=62.0 Also a newer dealer named WatchCraft on RWC, I think he is showing AP ROO now but has others available. http://replica-watch.cc/forum/index.php?board=52.0 You have to be logged in to see the dealer sections.

not a 036, second hand is not white on yours,, also dial looks different.

If you are worried about it Looking Large on your wrist, I have noticed that a Titanium case and PVD case does not look as large on the wrist as a stainless steel one (that's just my opinion). I will not wear a 47mm, it is too large for me, the 44mm is perfect for me.
-
you limit your options with Panerai when you go below a 44mm. I know there are people out there who have a side by side comparison shots, I dont own a 42mm watch otherwise I'd shoot a photo for you myself.

I seen a guy wearing a gen pam120. We were in Wendy's and he noticed my 111H, he said "we're a rare breed" tapped on his 120, I tapped on my 111H and "indeed" ... that was it.. and we went our ways.. It is the only time I have seen another Panerai being worn in public and it was the only time someone else had noticed mine. I think I remember having a smile on my face the rest of the day. lol.

rolli, You've given me some new ideas for my pvd's. Thanks!

WHat happens when you find The One, The Holy Grail...?

That is so cool V, I love the color and texture! I think I would like to order one for my leg too! I guess it is a mans garter belt or something. -
Honest Opinion Requested. TAG Aquaracer Stainless/Rubber?
Daytona4me replied to Daytona4me's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
You guys are confirming my original thoughts, I think the stainless is the way to go indeed. By-Tor mentioned the polished middle links (either here or in the wristcheck thread) and as subtle as they are they do make a statement. -
Honest Opinion Requested. TAG Aquaracer Stainless/Rubber?
Daytona4me replied to Daytona4me's topic in The Tag Heuer Area
Ok, this is not what I wanted to hear, I'll go change the Topic Title,, can you please come back and lie for me? I thought this might be the case, I purchased it just in case, I like it "ok" I think it could grow on me.. but I think I do like the bracelet better than the rubber strap. Not sure if I'm going to sell the rubber strap though. Maybe I'll throw that on when I feel funky -
Well, lol, I kinda like it more than what I thought. I fell in love with the Cousteau, but these two watches are like Apples and Oranges, you just cannot compare them. Now I'm just a poor (after all these purchases) confused (a good feeling when you are talking about a lot of watches, lol ) man with a wife who swears to "cut him off" if he purchases anything else. By-tor, I think the only thing I can do is order a black Corum Admirals Cup (have it delivered somewhere other than home) and then decide if I want to keep the Aquaracer ( a watch-nut's logic )
-
Ok fellas, I've never been a guy who mixes blues and blacks together but I decided to give it a shot when I purchased my Aquaracer. I fell in love with the blue dial but wanted to see what the black rubber straps would look like. I also wanted rubber because I dont think the bracelet is up to the quality that I want (Even the Genuine Bracelet isn't very nice imo). After ordering the rubber strap I thought that I probably made a mistake but now that I have tried it on, I have mixed feelings. I did not clean it up with a cape cod yet and it's driving me nuts. Please give me your opinion. I tried to do some quick pictures but I plan to do better ones soon. Thanks

hmm.. lot's of Aquaracers this weekend.. but none like my new one! Just received it yesterday! I messed up setting the date (cuz my week has been turned upside down) but oh well.. (took these last night).

Dude, I think I sent you a $25,000 usd deposit on my $1Million inheritance from my long lost relative. Remember that email you sent me.. I sent the money but have not received my mill yet! It's always good when a Rep enthusiast comes home! lol

I sure hope people understand what is being offered here. 1. just look at the resources on those CD's and it's original cost! 2. Look at the Savings 3. Most important (in my book) another great way to donate towards operating expenses for a great board. This is a steal!

Yep, I'm with you on the Blancpain. I've seen it in an magazine somewhere and sent it off to dealers asking them to look for it. So far no one has told me that it has been replicated (well, that was around 3 months ago). I hope to see it one day, a nice perfect version would be fantastic!

Well, I'm usually wearing a tie every day but not a suit. I went with a suit today (in court this week) and thought this 183 would look great with it. It is on a Europelli Bomber strap (I think he did this run in 2004 or 2005). Nothing looks better on this watch than this strap imo (at least of the straps that I own!)
