  1. Edge, did you ever get a chance to compare and review the new rep box and gen?
  2. Hey Sql_pl, do you mind sending them to me via PM if you don't feel to post it? It would be much appreciated!
  3. I'm late to the party According to Sander: -The pushers won't work with the movement and need to be modded. -The crown can be lowered (it's not a must) but the pushers still needs modification. -A complete new inner case needs to be made. -If you do not have the gen hands, you need to broach the chrono hands and make new hand tubes for the hour and minute hand. -the rep hands sizes are 1.20mm for the minute and 2.0mm for the hour hand. The movement needs 0,9 for the minute and 1.20 for the hour hand.) -99% of the time the date window needs to be painted matte black or matte silver because the movements normally come with a polished window. From this thread:
  4. In an attempt to quell my intense desire for the factories to finish this watch and put it back on the market, I will bombard this thread once again with more gen pics I want this just as bad as the Diver. Lets hope they both come out at the same time so I save on the shipping $$$! *oh and cross fingers that when it is re-released, the details are done right*
  5. I'm assuming more like the ROO based on the construction of the case. The RO Jumbo is mucho thinner in relation.
  6. Hey edge, I used the same marine epoxy that I sealed the HE valve with to seal the gen tube in: Here's my thread on it @ RWI: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/inside-franken-upo-build-60554.html?t=60554&highlight=ianGP
  7. I've been contemplating getting the Don Ramon and on my research, I've seen that phrase numerous times. Would someone please elaborate on 'hallmarks' ? I don't get it.... "Don Ramon has no hallmarks which the other one has"
  8. I played with myself reading this!!! yay!! Something to look forward to! Unless of course, Doc Theo wants to reveal a little bit about what he knows
  9. I just wanted to bump this to show interest If they made a quartz....wouldn't that mean they're thinking of a secs@12 version? *crossing fingers*
  10. when did you go?! I was there in September for a business trip and I stopped by. They didn't have one then but the guy mentioned he had one coming but it was already spoken for.... Also they didn't have any brochures........in english. He gave me the russian version lol So I went across the street to Wempe and got a good look at the blue WG sub-c (116619LB)
  11. paul, you ready for another franken PO project?? haha
  12. looks like the pearl is a tidbit off to the right? maybe just the lighting....i'm just nitpicking
  13. I have a gut feeling that the Montauk Highway will be one of them.......... hmmmmmm
  14. attaboy! You'll feel a great sense of pride for your watch when you are done! Modding can get very addictive quickly!.....and expensive lol Bezel cannot be swapped without extensive modifications on a UPO.... do you mean the bezel INSERT? because that is easy. And expensive. $225 I think is the going price for a gen bezel....not worth it. What are you trying to achieve? a better pearl? I would advice scouring e-bay for a Seamaster bezel insert (around $100 or so) and just using the pearl from that to swap with your rep.
  15. Seriously??! Have you heard of a particular range of months? Jan-Feb or Feb-Apr.... ? I was pretty much set on getting the Diver when it came out but if this is going to be delayed, I was going to get the PAM 288K to hold me off.
  16. what might have been hard for you can be easy for others. I'm not saying mine was super easy, I encountered some bumps along the way but A) it was relatively easy and 2) worth the mods Your only other option is to NOT unscrew the crown at all, don't use it for anything. Sounds stupid don't it? For a small price and some sweat, you can have your cake and eat it too. A little search goes a long way: Tube mod: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/solution-when-crown-upo-does-52623.html You don't need that special tool to yank out the tube, it's a luxury and can be done without. My build: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/inside-franken-upo-build-60554.html?t=60554 Don't forget the stem! My crown did not come with a stem when I bought it. Good luck
  17. ..... A tube would cost you under $10. Food for thought
  18. Hey Theo, would comment on the lume? Application and luminescence ?
  19. no blackthemes, theo? Amazing collection nonetheless! And by the way, I just ordered this.... My pocket hates me and I hate you for it! I'm getting that familiar antsy feeling when I bought my first rep
  20. you forgot the sub ceramic green (116610LV) that would be my choice
  21. I know! I saw your threads! You're the man to get it However, I'm contemplating to sell this - I am looking for a new look, so I'll keep you posted once I've made my mind! **I was thinking to sell this and my franken UPO. BK's YM has been haunting me in my dreams
  22. that's not threadcrapping, Smidsy You're luckier than most then! Mine had a uniform green lume. Granted, it was a stronger green than usual - but that just made it harder for Goin to remove lol
  23. I've been keeping this to myself and now I've finally found time to take some pictures Here's a small pictorial of my beasty diver watch, which by the way, I'm contemplating to sell. I've got my eye on other things right now. Stats: Bell & Ross BR-02 from Josh @ Trustytime Movement - Swiss ETA 2824-2 ** not verified. I never opened the case back and I forgot to ask goin to verify for me what it is. Sapphire with Single-side AR Mods: Goin - relumed to blue as per gen Goin - waterproofed/tested to 3 ATM's Goin - matte dial Outside shots I tried to show the matte dial and it's varying effects per angle - of course with my limited photo abilities This is under direct sunlight. Lume shots And here's an unedited: VS edited: Gen lume pics for comparison Enjoy!
