  1. I am in for this one. I have wanted one of these since seeing Goldfinger. Let me know asap. Thank you in advance for all your work.
  2. If they made this one I would buy it in a heart beat!!!!! Photoshop special.
  3. I think it looks like a different font for "OYSTER PREPETUAL". What do you think? I kind of like the rep font better.
  4. I just got a military sub off the forums. I noticed that the bezel is so sharp it is ripping up my cuffs. How would I go about making this less sharp? THank you in advance for any suggestions.
  5. If they make that much on each replica, then about how much does Rolex, Iwc, Omega, etc. makes on each watch. That thought will really drive you crazy. It is all relative...I would much rather help these kind gentlemen out then I would some big company. These guys offer great customer service based on what we pay. I have a gen sub and my AD is really hard to work with and then they charge me an arm and a leg. I spent over $500 to have my sub from 1987 serviced which included new dial hands and bezel. I did it because it didn't glow any more. What I didn't realize is that they kept my -T<25 dial and would not give it back to me. To make matters worse, they left dust on the dial and took over 5 weeks to do it. For this privaledge, I had the oportunity to pay them $500. Thankfully I was able to get the bezel and the hands back from them. My hope is that someday I can use them in an MWB...if I can find one. I would rather have 1-2 gens and multiple good reps. Just my humble opinion.
  6. Custom made dial from Kent Parks at Everest Watch Works. Yes, he made the entire dial. He also does phenomenal re-luming with SuperLuminova in various colors.
  7. My wife bought this gen sub for me in 1987. Five years ago I brought it into the AD and they replaced the tritium hands and dial with superluminova. I wanted the t-dial and they refused to give it back. I should have fought back harded. Oh well, al least it glows like a tourch now. I bought it for $1050 in 1987 with 10% down and the rest financed over a year with no interest!
  8. Just remember that the bezel on this model does not click like the gen
  9. What size strap do you need for that one?
  10. I just got a Rolex Explorer II "homage" that had a power reserve of only a couple of hours. I live in Rockford Illinois (1 hour from Chicago)and took it to my watch maker here. He said it needed a new mainspring and it would cost me $70. He said he would also check all the seals and make sure it was water restistant for me for that price. He had no problems working on it for me. He has worked on a few of my gens and I was pleased. I have used Kent Parks of Everest Watchworks do some incredible lume work for me. Now I have a local watch maker. I think this will help me move easier into replicas. I got a DW6263 with the mystery movement and it will only take a couple of winds. That only lasts an hour or two before I have to wind it again. I think I will look for a VJ72 and have my watch maker do the conversion for me.
  11. The following is a thank you note that I sent to Orbita in regards to my Orbita winder. I am blown away by this kind of customer service. I never write these kind of letters because I am picky and it takes a lot to impress me. "I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with your customer service. The other day I noticed that the watch on my Orbita winder was not running. After closer inspection I found that the rubber gasket on the back of the cup assembly was broken off. I called customer service and was quickly greeted by a cheerful live person. I was rather surprised and pleased in this day of automated menus. The person that I spoke to said that they would send me a whole new cup assembly right away. When I asked how much it would cost, I was told that it was free. They did not ask me a litany of questions about when, where or how I purchased my winder they simply asked me my address and sent the cup assembly free of charge. It is refreshing to see this kind of customer service and I will only purchase Orbita winders in the future. I have six winders and really need about ten. I look forward to purchasing more winders from Orbita due to your excellent customer service. Sincerely, Steve Linder"

I really want to join too...but no one will show me the secret handshake!!!
  13. Kent Parks from Everest Watch Works in Flagstaff, AZ USA does great lume work. I have 6 watches with work from him that I have inspected with a 5x loop and I am very impressed. The Rolex AD is working out a deal to send him watch dials from cients that don't want a new dial but only want a relume. You can check him our here... http://everestwatchworks.com/sl_lume_colors.html I was thinking that you could by any one of the bell and ross models and have Kent use the orange lume as shown in the link above!
  14. This custom made watch from Kent Parks at Everest Watch Works. Everest Watch Works Kent does some of the best lumming and custom work that I have eevr seen. I really like being able to design the watch dial with him.
  15. This one this morning.... This one for work...
  16. This one for me... <center> <img src="http://www.rwg.cc/members/uploads/remoteimages/132665-18837.jpg"> </center> Try that one again...
  17. Try heating it up with a hair dryer and then gently moving it to the proper alignment.
  18. I would love to see some pictures of your watch. Are the hour markers ringed in black or silver? Does the GMT hand or the hour hand change? Do you know if it is water resistant? Steve
  19. If this was in 40mm-42mm I would be all over it!
  20. What a great watch and great pitures, thank you for sharing them. Does the watch have any AR coating? I couldn't tell from the photos. Thank you in advance for your reply.
  21. I've read the reviews and all in all not a bad watch for $160. I have a gen bezel insert from a 16800 and unfortudnately it wasn't even close to fitting. I am so tempted by some of the higher quality replicas in the $430 range. I eventually want to get a good DRSD that I can swim and shower with, a white/silver dialed Rolex Daytona 6263 and a Pepsi Bezeled GMT. Can anyone pont me in the right direction?
  22. Just a couple of quick pictures
