  1. Did they make those "T"s with Whiteout?
  2. Yes, there is a guy with a pile of GMT bezels there now, very tempting, as it is one of the last pieces needed for my Franken GMT:
  3. LOL, yes Harry, it should! Hope all is well!
  4. No, I bought it already complete. Yes, GMT hand does not work correctly, so not a true Franken...
  5. Xding Started out as an ETA based rep from a dealer when they all had decent reps of this model. Authentic dial and hands (biggest flaw of these, hands too short) and datewheel were added. Movement may have been swapped for one that can handle the correct handstack (2836?). Not sure about the glass, might be authentic, or the bezel. Authentic padded signed strap and deployant clasp finishes it off nicely. The GMT is a great model to franken, authentic dials and hands fit easily into the rep case, no need to worry about HE valves or correct caseback engravings that were flaws on SMP's and Bonds from the same era.. Only thing it needs is to have the crown shaved down a little to sit lower between the crown guards as on the original, but it's been a great watch over the years!
  6. Gotta go Franken!! Great watch, kinda got lost in the "007" SMP and then the PO's.
  7. Still waiting to hear back from Angus!!! Any progress????
  8. What part# is that wheel Frank??
  9. I had an old manual wind 6694, and yes a lot of cranking was needed. But I loved winding that watch, the feel, the sound; it had a very distinct mechanical vibe that I don't get winding my ETA based frankens...
  10. Sweet! Awesome watches, I had a sweet older one for a bit, loved winding that baby...please post pix!
  11. I have two on order with Angus, he is looking into getting them to me... Anyone know if they will line up with authentic dials?
  12. You can find authentic 6694's out there reasonably priced, not sure if I would franken one of those, cuz there will be flaws and you may spend more on franken-izing one than an authentic costs!
  13. Yeah baby, ETA wrapped in some authentic or modded metals, dials here:
  14. I am looking into doing a run, as I have access to some high end scanners printers. I just need a good source to scan, and so far I haven't found anyone willing to send along a datewheel/overlay. The overlays I have seen to this point have all been kinda fuzzy under date mag, so scanning those would be pointless...
  15. I'll try Andrew, I have a few others looking into it for me...
  16. ETA 2836? Thats whats in mine...
  17. Eurotimez ran out on me the last time I was looking for some, anyone have any good sources for them? I need 2!!!!
  18. It can be done, but finding the right pile of parts, especially these days, is tough. I got lucky with mine, but it still needs some help as it is not running at the moment.
  19. Yeah, Cubics came in yesterday for me and no open 6's or 9's. Was also looking for a silvered one, but it seems as if Eurotimez has blown up again....
  20. WBK had some asian GMT's that were pretty good (ByTor's review). That was a few years ago, anyone have a good one out there?
