  1. Not building frankens anymore....
  2. OK an update. I found an "assembler" but still looking for parts! I have the following: Authentic 1500 case, caseback, crown and authentic dial. 2824-2 ETA, Tudor hands. Need a spacer, and a datewheel. WooHoo!
  3. I got two projects that could use flat 3's datewheels. Who's got the best??
  4. I'm no watchmaker, just a parts piler who has some stuff here for a build.. I do have a 2836 here too...
  5. I have a few ETA's (2684??) here, they should work.
  6. Got most of the parts for a 1500 build (just need a movement spacer and datewheel), anyone up for it or know someone who might be?
  7. Nice snag, I saw that auction, I'm thinking about an old Rolex too. Always wanted a nice 1601, I may go for an old 6694 though, good value watch...
  8. Funny, those Rolex guys.... I don't remember if my old 6694 had rounded three's or not.
  9. I need one too! For a 1500 franken I am trying to build..
  10. Anyone hear from him lately? I need some stuff fixed....
  11. Yeah, I know he went through some tough times at home. His business # that I had is long disconnected. Too bad, he is a cool dewd... Nah, it's an ETA movment (2836?). I have no clue how to assemble watches or I'd fix it myself. I did find another watch repair guy in town and am going to try him this weekend. It's the assembly of the 1500 that people have been skittish of.
  12. I sent him an email yesterday and I haven't heard back from him yet... Thanks though!
  13. The movement assembly is loose, disconnected from the stem, and the bezel popped off. All I need for the 1500 is a spacer for the movement and a datewheel. Jonny (Saabin) has helped me out in the past, but I lost contact with him (hope he is OK!) a while ago.. Here was the thread when I first got the GMT
  14. Yeah, it's been a while, kinda fell off the rep map for a bit... And, I'm a guy, so a reference for HIM would be helpful!
  15. My 2 yo daughter knocked my cherished 1675 Franken replica off the table last week, and it needs to be fixed. I also have 98% of the parts for a Rolex 1500 Franken replica ready to go for assembly. I don't want to bring them to my trusty local jewler, he didn't want to work on them as they are not legit.. Anyone in the USA (NYC area) repair/build replica watches?
  16. Sweet! Almost as cool as my Franken 1675
  17. Sweet! Love that dial. I must get a 16XXX Franken soon!
  18. Love those hands! Is it a Franken or legit?
