If the running seconds is located at 6 o'clock, it is quite common. Search out Ziggy's reviews of the secs @ 6 7750 (in this case, Swiss & Asian are plagued with the same problems) or the 'powdered graphite' treatment.
Once you remove the bezel (you should be able to pry it off with a butter knife), you should be able to pop the insert out from the rear with your thumbs. Unless it was cemented-in, which could be a problem.
The interesting thing is the gen rotor you have there. In spite of the case & dial being obviously wrong (not gens), at 1st glance, seeing that rotor in there, it almost fooled me. Never saw 1 of those tacked onto a 21j movement before.
Paul McCartney has been relatively unique within the pop star community in that he has never, to the best of my knowledge, appeared in public wearing anything but modestly priced digital watches
However, in the past year (no doubt due to encouragement/direction from his 3rd wife, Nancy, a successful businesswoman), he seems to have changed his style for the better (he is still a vegetarian though)
No, it is not a rep.
Excellent work, but, as JoeyB correctly pointed out, I would definitely lower the crystal profile. Here is a gen for reference

Yes, it looks like 1 of these
I generally do not watch the Grammys either, but since McCartney was performing & I like 2 of the nominated songs (Adele's 'Rolling in the Deep' & Katy Perry's 'Firework' (1 of the greatest songs ever), I decided to suffer through the remaining 2.5 hours of the usual Grammy rubbish (which was up to its usual standards).
