  1. Verrrrrrrrrrrrrry nice! Wear it in good health!
  2. Of course if the chainsaw won't open the caseback there's always the "never fails" method. It just takes good aim.
  3. "PatronSaintOfChainsaws" Now THAT'S a name I like! Here's how I open those stubborn casebacks. Just give 'er a tug, full throttle, presto! All the watches are open.
  4. Ah, if it's dense and rare woods you're after, then you need to read the story of the Giant Figured Mahogany Tree.
  5. Think of his liability if he opens/closes it, it leaks and it's a gen. I've only found one place where I walked in off the street and he opened it for a quick check... And he's a Rolex watchmaker. He pressure tested it when we were done, no charge for any of that.
  6. Oh drool ..... Lucky for me it was bought by a friend and it will be at Chez Nanuq this summer!
  7. Here's another LeJour I've had for years, a Superman 990
  8. What, there's a problem with that gorgeous watch in that photo? I can tell you simply don't understand art. That, my friend, is an ICON right there. One of a kind, not unlike the Mona Lisa.
  9. You KNOW you're just itching to send me that COMEX 'cuz I'm such a nice guy, right? C'mon c'mon already.
  10. Sure it does... there's a picture of it right there.
  11. I was going to go big on this one, and in the end I can't justify ANOTHER dive watch that will get little to no wrist time. But it's ohhhhhhh so cool. Enjoy! And bid soon. LeJour Depthograf
  12. Certina DS2 it is! Well spotted. It's truly NOS, never used, in the box. How shweet is that?!
  13. I picked up this little beauty for my little beauty... now she'll match my Doxa. Who can tell me what it is? C'mon eagle eyes........
  14. There are a couple of 300T Pros out on the 'Bay right now...
  15. For me, it's as fast as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. No worries. Same response time and latency for my iPhone and my wired connection, using radically different access paths.
  16. I like it! Shaken AND stirred... We've got ash raining down all around us now, it's gritty nasty stuff. I can taste it in my teeth and it's in my eyes. But they're also forecasting snow tonight so that ought to cover it up a little. Avalanches covering the highways, record snowfalls, volcanoes blowing off... it's just another winter in Alaska!
  17. Mmmmmmmm, I had a Fortis once. Great watches!! There's also a rare Doxa Ducot over there...
  18. Ah, that Sub 250 is not mine and it's for sale on the 'Bay RIGHT NOW. Go get it!!
  19. Well the bloody thing has been erupting 3 and 4 times every day, shooting ash 65,000 feet into the air. We got some ash fall today and the things is STILL rumbling! Now they're talking about an "ice plug" in the top vent... can you imagine it blasting that thing 65,000 feet into the air toward my house?! Before During... "after" still to come

    wish me luck

It's always nice to hear a good outcome like this. I had mine done and the night of the procedure was pure hell. It felt like trolls were rubbing sand into my eyes. But soon I was all healed up and now have 20-15 vision! It was well worth it. A word of advice from one who has "been there and done that" don't go cold weather camping for a month. I went out in -30F weather camping the next weekend and froze my eyes shut overnight. Now there's no problem at all. DON'T RUSH THE RECOVERY!
  21. The infamous and rarely seen Sub 250.
  22. Actually I've been watching the arctic ice pack closely. When it spreads far enough I'm thinking about strapping on some skates and going for a visit to our Admin. Just a liiiiiiiiittle more ice around Ostrov Novaya Zemlya oughta do it...
