Notice the inner bezel ring is either red or orange on this first edition, with a black outer ring. Later editions have that reversed. Enjoy! Larry is Lance Mackey's lead dog, and won Iditarod again this year. In fact Larry has won 7 distance races of over 1,000 miles. So Lance announced that Larry's hanging up his harness and retiring to a well deserved life of leisure. It couldn't happen to a better dog. Ah, good question Steve. There are a couple of good sources and there have been a few comparisons done here on the site showing who has what pearl. Ofrei has good ones, and another company (PMWF?) has 'em too... Freddy333 is a good source for that info. There are also pre-aged pearls available on Ebay, where the back is dug out and nasty brown speckled goo is pushed in, so it looks like an authentic aged tritium pearl. They're about $25 each, I've bought a few and they look great.

Well said, Delta. As for how often to wind it, make a habit of winding it up every morning, and wearing and storing it the same way every day. Then after a month or so you'll start to get a feel for its accuracy. It ought to run for almost 2 days after a full wind, but if you get it "used to" running with the same spring tension every day it will run the most consistently. I've been told by a watchmaker that it's not possible to overwind a watch manually. But regardless I'm still darn careful because parts get harder to find every day. Follow Delta's advice and you'll be fine. Get that baby serviced soon. And post some photos! As long as it's not a vintage 300...... then I'll just fall over and die.

What we see demonstrated here is the amazing reserve of patience and class demonstrated by B-T as opposed to the glaring lack of same demonstrated by moi. While B-T is still a member in good standing at TZ, when I ran into the same loutish behavior at the Doxa forum I earned a ban for it. Face it, the GIDT lies in wait wherever one-upsmanship might earn you a better ranking.
