  1. Still ticking after I broke the movement tabs splitting firewood this weekend. Amazing. @interaktiv that's a beautiful build. The uneducated eye would see our watches as the same, but I'd have to go another $600 minimum to get your look. Very nice.
  2. Who's your Granddaddy! [emoji41]
  3. I cut a bunch of green sappy spruce today and hauled it home for splitting. This load was easily 1,000 lbs and the Rover handled it like a breeze on a summer day. I have the 109 springs under it so it's usually *cough* stiff, and today it rode like a Cadillac. Climbing the 12% grade to Chez Nanuq it didn't hiccup or hesitate. I made many trips and now she's taking a well earned rest in the garage. Good girl. Someone once said that Rovers, unlike most people, are capable of returning affection. I've spent a lot of time lately with the wrenches out and today she said "thank you".
  4. Holy Super Compressor, Batman! Shazam! Pow! Me likey but not enough to spend that kind of coin on it. For that price it's competing with Glycine, Tissot, Waltham and Fortis Marinemaster Super Compressors. Those are dangerous odds.
  5. I would have said it wasn't possible... I was splitting wood yesterday and noticed my MBW 1680 had stopped. The movement was loose, moving around in the case. So I took it apart this morning, and found I broke the movement tabs. Unbelievable. I replaced them and it's running like a champ again.
  6. My daughter and I did a lot of this growing up. I cherish those times!
  7. The long dark winters can cause some *cough* odd behavior.......
  8. @Sogeha, I took that one off a dead guy down in Tuntutuliaq so I have no idea its provenance. I think it's safe to say it was spotty at best. But the idea of a contemporary dial with gold surrounds, combined with that cheeky triple red ink, all in a NCG case... it was too edgy, too... daring to pass up. I toyed with the idea of turning it into a Milgauss, and ultimately gave it away to a guy that told me the name of an antelope. Long story.
  9. The definitive pre-COMEX Sub if anyone is looking for a reference for their build. She's a beauty!
  10. Behold the majesty of the no-crown-guard Triple Red Submariner.
  11. Well this hasn't been updated in awhile... Right now I'm listening to Catfish Blues from Rollin' and Tumblin'
  12. No kidding, now the cat's out of the bag on Tudor!
  13. Not quite... Phong case and everything else is gen.
  14. That was the exact look I went for with the Frosty Flake. High mileage, overly polished and well cared for.
  15. I think that's Ken's left nut.
  16. We all know our own @Nikki6 is a musician ne plus ultra who knows everybody who IS anybody in the dark underbelly of rock-n-roll. I'm sure he and Gene Simmons have spent a few wasted days and wasted nights deafening themselves. So maybe Nikki6 can explain this rare sighting in Texas?
  17. Where it resides? WHERE IT RESIDES???!!!???? I see what's going on here... you're trying to get me to tell you the super ultra secret location of the Nanuq Timepiece Repository and Burlesque Emporium. Well it won't work. IT WONT WORK I tell you!!! My precious is tucked away safely in the ice and stone, slumbering amongst its brethren (and busty burlesque broads). You can never know the location! Nobody can ever know the location!!! Not even me!!!!!!!!! But I can show you the plans. Keep these secret. Nobody must know. Ssssshhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
  18. Gaytona? Pfffft that ain't bling. THIS is bling.
  19. I'll take "Elves that refused to work on Tony Soprano's 18k President for $800", Alex.
