the old bracelet had screws helding together the links and it will easily break (i hope you don't have this version), the newer bracelet has a pin and collar like system helding together the links. yeah to each of his own, yes I have the new blue version, I have been wanting the gen old version (6 9 12 markers) since my college days, can't help staring at my profs SMP, you swapped the stock bezel with the ceramic one? if yes please post pics!

the QC picture is an old variant and be careful cause the old versions of this watch has a certain bracelet problem, better get a new version, the one without the 6, 9, 12 hour markers..

I say go for the gen smp chrono mate, the design itself is legendary..it already has made a mark in the dive watch category since the 90's and onwards. .it isn't very tall in height as compared to the new smp chrono 9300 and you will love how versatile the look of it will be. @OP So what did you do with the GEN insert? sold it on ebay for $9999? Did you attempt to transplant a gen bezel with gen insert to the BK DSSD? or it was impossible? Priceless efforts, who is your AD? Damn sure I want gen parts too!
