  1. This will make your day. Keep your eyes on the girl on the bike (turn on your sound) Girl on bike
  2. I imagine that an "automatic movement joint" would be an unusual problem Perhaps it was a loose rotor but...wouldn't manually winding the movement slowly about 30-40 turns let it run for 46 hours or so. Regardless, I am glad that you were able to resolve the problem to your satisfaction.
  3. I've never seen one of those multi-watch winders in action. Aren't they rather noisy?
  4. Your watch is a newer version of the GMT II (Non ceramic bezel) model 16710. The genuine Rolex crown number is 24-603-0. You may be lucky an be able to use the rep tube. I did not have to replace the tube on the 16713 that is pictured above. This is a gen 16710 that will allow you to compare the crown to the one on your BK GMT.
  5. QUOTE 2) What are the Rolex part numbers I should be looking for to ensure I get the correct parts ? I am better with the early vintage GMTs, but I believe the 1675x GMTII uses the 6mm 24-603 crown & 24-6030 tube. Double-check with By-Tor before ordering anything, since he is the expert on the modern GMT. Interesting....the 24-603 is the same crown used on the Datejust and President and my chart shows this to be the case. However, I believe that the new model with the ceramic bezel uses a larger crown.
  6. I just tried to access that site and received the "Site Suspended" notification page.
  7. I replaced the crystal on my gen 16233 with a Swiss made aftermarket 295-C from Jules Borel. The quality and appearance is nearly spot on. It has the same beveled edge as the gen does. The price runs about $35 and IMHO is a great value when compared to the cost of a gen crystal.
  8. ETA makes movements in several finishes. The nickel finish is thought by some to be a higher grade than the golden finish. However, the function and durability of either movement will be virtually the same and since it isn't visible unless the watch is opened, it shouldn't be much of an issue.. Either should outlast the watch if it is kept properly serviced. I hope this helps and welcome to the forum
  9. My Next Life I want to live my next life backwards! You start out dead and get that out of the way Right off the bat. Then, you wake up in a nursing home feeling better Every day. When you are kicked out of the home for being too healthy, you spend several years enjoying your retirement and collecting benefit checks. When you start work, you get a gold watch on your First day. You work 35-40 years or so, getting younger every day Until pretty soon you're too young to work. So then, you go to college and then high school: play sports, date, Drink, and party. As you get even younger, you become a kid again. You go to elementary school, play, and have no Responsibilities. In a few years, you become a baby and everyone Runs themselves ragged keeping you happy. You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully In luxury, spa-like conditions: central heating, Room service on tap. Until finally... You finish off as an orgasm. I rest my case.
  10. Here is one of my favorites for business or pleasure outings because it has the right look and is a very comfortable to wear.
  11. Although I haven't tried it, I would think that it should fit perfectly in the 6200 case if you use Stilty's adaptor/spacer. Are the hand sizes of the ST18 the same as the ETA?
  12. If you ever open a "Rolex" and see a plastic spacer, you know you're looking at a fake and probably a cheap one. Rolex would never install such a thing in any of their models.
  13. I would recommend a Mid sized Rolex Datejust which at 31mm would not appear a large as a man's 36mm version but still give her the larger size that she is looking for. Have a look at the watch below which isn't a new model but a good example of the size and style. It has the diamonds on the bezel and dial which will please most all women.
  14. Dang! Dani, that's one hairy arm you have there Here is my weekend watch. A Panerai 049 with a genuine Panerai gator strap. It should work or almost any occasion.
  15. You need to narrow your search for the "best" by selecting a brand or type of watch that you are looking for. There are several "super reps" out there that might satisfy your needs but they are different makes and different styles. Spend a bit of time reading posts about the watches that you are interested in. Check out the reviews of BY-Tor for an expert opinion about various reps. Once you are armed with the correct information, you can make an intelligent and well informed decision.
  16. That is most kind of you to offer, Ubi. The crown is a 24-503-8 for a lady's Datejust which might take a bit of effort to locate.
  17. I have a genuine Rolex crown that the threaded section that connects to the stem is free wheeling. Is there any way to disassemble the crown to replace the interior parts? I have several rep crowns that appear to have the same interior parts and could use them as donors if it could be done. Or, should I toss this one out and buy another.
  18. There are many that I would consider but this one would definitely be on the radar.
  19. Fish in a barrel? You may feel that way because it is necessary for you to prove your point or agenda. All the rest of us can swim up stream to a different barrel Instead of all this bickering about the alleged price fixing why not do a genuine service to the community. If you see what you feel is an excessive price increase, report to the forum a dealer or dealers who are selling that watch for a lesser price. That is using the "free market" to our advantage. Members could then choose between the dealers and therefore impact the pricing structure.
  20. I haven't any personal experience with this site but, from what I have read on other forums, it is legitimate. Allergy Doc has reported good experience with them for more economical replicas. Delivery times may be somewhat slower than our listed collectors.
