Oops, stupid me. I think'd about some other things while "translating" into my head. I was talking about the shape of the case lugs... Obviously not the CG's... EDIT: sometimes, I really hate to be French -

In case the 6263 is a previous version of a DW case, witch crown guards case lugs seems better to you ? I feel they are modded on the 6263... -

Thanks Ubi for your advice The mystery is lifted for the crown Do you know witch crown is better for the 6263/5 ? 703 or 704 ? About the 6265, I'm sure it's 100% DW. No clue about that. But about the 6263, I'm not really sure... Especially for the case & the pushers. It seems that the case is of a different design. And the pushers looks so much better on the 6263 in my opinion... -
You can try to swap the click spring to a gen one, if you find one ! On my V3, the turn of the bezel is just perfect with the gen click spring. Looks & feels 100% gen is this way

I was not knowing that DW offers this possibility. Is it possible DW sold two versions of cases for the others points ? Anyways, thanks for the information ! -
Hello RWG This is not usual, but I need your precious knowledge this time ! Some of you are probably knowing I have bought 2 V72 Daytona's these days - a 6263, and a 6265... Both have been supposed to be DW's based. But... After some careful checking, my 6263 seem's to not be not so much DW. In my opinion, there is a lot of differences on the 6263 : - No engravements at all on the case (!) - Shape of the case is different - Slightly bigger springbars holes - The caseback, and the back of the watch, are really different - Pushers are not the same - The Gen crown... not the same. Seems to not be a 703. And probably more things I have not seen ! ----- Here are the comparison shoots. -> The 6263 will ALWAYS be on the left, or on the top of the photos -> The 6265 will ALWAYS be on the right, or on the bottom of the photos ----- If you guys have any idea of the source of the different parts, it will be awesome Also, if you have any argued preferences between the both, I'm really really open to hear it I don't really know witch case / crown / caseback / pushers / etc are the closer to the "real" deal ! Anyways, thanks in advance ! R.

Wow, simply "wow". It's an amazing piece you have here ! I am already in love with this Sigma dial, it's a stunner ! Wear it in good health I think there is a lot much more bucks in this project For $2500, no Gen dial / hands / bezel / 571 endlinks / custom case / etc
-
I lol'd ! Please don't tell me it's a gen
-
I think we have the same taste about watches, great one here again !
-
Beautiful watches here And welcome to RWG, seems you are new here Is this dust on the crystals ?
-
Chrono Shop's prices are pretty reasonable in most of the pieces, but some other pieces are effectively a bit over-priced. It depends of the rarity I think. Plus the fact the vintage parts prices are higher and higher...
-
Thanks preacher & T. Of course, a LV one would be awesome, but it's really hard to source one with the same specs as my current V3 I just can't imagine to do not have the gen click spring, for example, as it's absolutely changing the feeling of the watch Now, all I want is sourcing a gen 6263/6265 dial at a decent price ! Will be hard too for sure
-
Looks absolutely gen, and it's in really good conditions Is the bezel gen too ? Looks like really good too Where have you sourced the dial ? I'm returning all the internet to found one, but it seems not working Anyways, congrats !

Thank you for the kind words Only 20mb, it's not a big deal

Hello LHOOQ, Great DJ here ! About the jubilee, I sourced mine here : http://www.chrono-shop.fr/27-jubilee Sorry, French website, but after all, I am French My clasp is a 62513H, witch is normally the clasp for the TT version. But I bet you can find a 62510H here. Prices are not too high in my opinion... And doesn't see a good vintage jubilee rep for anytime.

Are you talking about the two dials ? The 6263 have the DW v1 dial, when the 6265 have the latest DW dial. What I think about the dials : - The "Rolex / Osyter / Cosmograph" are always misplaced, too high - The subdials are both a way too shiny, and a way too big. Hands are supposed to fit exactly the extremity of the subdial. This is not the case here. - The "T SWISS T" is absolutely wrong, due to the too big subdial - The minutes counters are wrong, too short - The markers around the dial are too bold The differences I've seen : - On the v1 (6263) dial, the "DAYTONA" is not so red. But it doesn't matter, supposed to be a 40yo dial - On the v1, the coronet is absolutely wrong. Surprisely, the coronet on the 6265 is really good. Compare it with the Gen Datejust ! - On the v1, the color of the dial is slightly more yellow than the 6265, witch is really white. The colors are both great My conclusion : I will go to a Gen Dial one day or other. There is just no good rep dial on the market at all

Photos server updated... Can you guys tell me if you have a problem with viewing the photos ? Sometimes, my über-expensive SSL certificate is shitty with Firefox. If yes, you can open the photo in another window, and let your browser know you want to see it ! Thanks !

Hello RWG After buying, and buying, I finally took the time to take some HQ photos of my Rolies... Here are some photos of my 5 high-end Rolex... Took relatively in poor conditions, but I think it's pretty good ! The two v72 Daytona's are pretty new in my collection (received the both in 2 days... that's a record !) They are absolutely awesome More photos to come soon... Enjoy the photos ! The watches are (from the left to the right) : [Rep] Spinmater's Daytona 6263, 7760powered with Gen T21 crystal, crown, and tube -> for sale soon ! [Gen] Rolex's Datejust 1601, circa 1967 with Gen jubilee bracelet, 62523 clasp and 555 endlinks -> for sale soon ! [Rep] DW's Daytona 6265, Valjoux 72 powered with Gen T21 crystal, crown, tube, 73350 bracelet & 78350 clasp, Rep 571 endlinks -> received today ! [Rep] BK's / WM9 Submariner 16610 V3 with Gen crystal, crown, tube, insert and click spring -> probably the best combo I have seen so far ! [Rep] DW's Daytona 6263, Valjoux 72 powered with Gen T21 crystal, crown, tube, 78350 bracelet & 78350 clasp, 557 endlinks -> received yesterday ! Photos have been done with a Canon 7D. Not resized at all ! Don't forget to click on the photo to see it at it's max size...! 5k pixels of width, it's worth the trip ------------------------------ First, testing a cheap camera lens : Hm... not so bad. Testing to render the steel to yellow gold : The result is pretty strange But, there is a quality problem, as the conditions are not good (flash only in dark room). So, let's test my killer camera lens. You will see the difference for sure Pretty good, isn't it ? Let's try another kind of photo... Setting the watches on my desk : Now, the big action : This was hard to do, but I really love this group shot ! Now, let's see the watches alone... Sorry, the Spinmaster's is not here ! Let me know what do you think about the reflection of the watches Hope you enjoyed the pics guys, any comments are really welcome, both on the watches & on the photos Have a nice day R.

Hello RWG, I recently bought 2 stunner Daytona's, with a Valjoux 72 inside. The problem is I don't like the DW dials at all. Unfortunately, it's the best we can find in the Rep world. So, I project to change the dials for Gen one day, and maybe the needles too. Is anybody know a "good" watchmaker in France ? I'm seriously afraid to send about 4000€ (or more !) into a simple box, and I prefer to ship myself the babies to her future "Doctor" Any advice are welcome, as I don't know what to do, and have no skills & tools to change it by myself Thanks Valty

Already done the 9th June. I've already see it with Red

Raw, lovely car I bet you are selling the car with the watch both hu ? Anyways, drive it fine, it's kind of a dream here... Maybe some laps soon on the Nordschleife ?
