  1. Diesel, I have a set of 571 ends from DW One is missing the "springbar holding tubes"... Yours for free, if you want them.
  2. I checked a few of my 5513 reference pics...is it me, or does the Tropic has a gigantic dome? Even for a T19 superdome?
  3. It's been David Wong's ebay account for years A gen?
  4. When I sold it, I offered the buyer to fade the insert a little more. He took the offer Thanks for the compliment. Actually this is just fun for me. I broke so many watches, but this time I really came through However the actual goal is to make tropical/brown Daytona dials.
  5. Yeah Tropical-ish Thanks for the compliment I prefer my Daytonas, DJ and GMT's though
  6. I've recently started to research on 6538 big crowns. Why? There were a couple of really great ones at the Rolex Passion Meeting this year. So, I've built one over the last few days... Parts: Silix case -> aged and polished, no sharp edges Stock dial -> aged, relumed and given a tropical look, matte finish Athaya big crown/tube -> Hell, what a pain to make the tube fit the case!!! Clarks T19 -> sanded down to the right height Rafflestimes golden hands -> relumed and aged Inserts slightly faded - pearl removed The tropical look is actually a lot more subtle, but just hard to catch on the camera. It really depends on how the light hits the plexi. Even though I like the look of the watch, it's not for my tiny wrist I hope you like it Full light on the dial - it appears really brown. Next up - A two liner 6538!
  7. Rolojack, I can give you - if you don't have them already - pretty much every Daytona dial Rolex has ever produced, in this quality: More than 100 dials, exotics as well, all photographed by Mazzariol PM your email address, so I don't have to upload all of them. Akira
  8. I thought "backdoor - I might want to sell" - threads were frowned upon. There's a sales area to create transparancy!
  9. Loving the Sigma dial! Wear it well - spectacular watch!
  10. You definitely wouldn't be alone! But, I need to concentrate on this project first - If it has success, we (you) can take it from there. Akira
  11. On september 12th he told me he has stock of the MM.
  12. Donerix and I want them for MM But all other will be V72 Layout is the same - only feet position varies. So 1. Donerix MM 2. Akira MM 3. CC33 V72 4. Dropbear2008 V72 5. Cougar1 ? - not confirmed Great - let's wait a few more days!
  13. Hi guys, I've been talking to DW the last couple of days. Is there interest in a 6240 black dial? DW, said he can produce it with his DAYTONA as the base - meaning he'd print them just without the red text. $180 each dial, handset included. All I need are 5 people to want one. This is (a slightly damaged example of his dial) I also talked to Phong and NDT They can produce it as well - price is $260 w/o hands from NDT and $450 from Phong. I personally don't think they are much better for the higher costs. Phong: NDT (from the font it looks like the DW to me) So please chime in if you'd want one... If I get more than 5 - we might get a better price. 1. Donerix 2. Akira 3. cougar1 ??? 4.... 5... Let me know Cheers Akira
  14. Are sales going that slow, Ken? Rubbish is a hard word - I agree. However, even most untrained eyes can pick every soft good rep from the genuine article. It's a fact, you'll never get a copy of a quality product for the fraction of the price. And those who work in development (design and production) of high end designer cloths, know why If you think you do - you've never handled the genuine goods.
  15. Both not perfect. The serif of R in Rolex of the gen dial is different to both versions. However, " SWISS - T < 25 " is much nicer on Ingod. Coronet is ok on both. I've found the ingod dials to be excellent - especially that 2-liner. For twice the price - the NDT doesn't give you much of an improvement IMO. So, ingod for me!
  16. Well, A7750 is a totally different design. MM and V72 have the same subdial spacing, just different feet position.
  17. I've been talking to DW. I have two people for the dial fitting his Mystery Movement. Anyone interested in a V72 version? I'll ask him to make a prototype first!
  18. DW aswered me today, saying he can produce one for around $200. But his stock photos are so blurry and I find him difficult to communicate. As for the dial pics, I have them all in that quality
  19. I was checking the Daytona a LIB book and came across a dial that confuses me. There is the 6240 black dial The 6263 black dial with red Daytona But also a black ROC dial without the O' before and after 'T swiss T' Is this a legit dial? Service maybe? And was it used in a 6240 or 6263-5? If one of the suppliers like Phong, DW or Ingod would make one - would you be interested? I personally hate the red DAYTONA print Thanks Akira
  20. Woof is right. There is a rep C&I stretch rivet. Angus has it on his 6542. http://www.puretime.co/product/vintage-gmt-master-6542-black-dial-bluered-eta2846/
