By-Tor, I agree that it is a beauty! A friend has one he got last year. It’s white which is not my favorite color but it’s really nice looking regardless.
My only Quartz, late 90s issued Marathon Nav. Stupidly sold off a steel nav years ago... and stupidly kept this one instead lol! Tritium doesn't glow much anymore
That's interesting news about Clarks. I have actually had a crystal sanded years ago but the big caveat is that the crystal profile is nothing like the high domed T-38. The watch looks drastically different with the dope shape versus the flat sharp edge 116.
Curious what developments have occurred since abandoning my hunt 20+ years ago for a domed non-cyclops crystal for my OEM 1675. Has anyone replicated the T-38? Still would like to try my watch with a dome!
[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] hilarious!!! That was a great testing trial! And the candidate was a tough test mule! But certainly no match for the real-world!* *desk divers need not apply Cheers [emoji482]
Wearing my dad's issued Benrus milspec from Vietnam today. This thing has a ton of stories to tell. Luckily my old man told me a few before he passed [emoji119][emoji482]
I'm looking for non-luminous material with colored patina to fill hands on a few Art Deco and military watch specimens. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!!
It's a nifty watch for sure. Not a fan of the era though. It's superlumed, etc, with an acrylic crystal... I agree 100% with you, the old 806 on the other hand, is perfect! Cheers brother
