  1. Everytime I see a J12 on a lady around here I know that it's a rep! Ok, maybe not, but there really should be some more lady reps available.
  2. I am referring to members in USA/Europe. Since you are located in Kansai, there should be no problems for you - but I would not order from him outside of JPN. Like I said, Ken took some large Western Union payments from a few veteran members here and decided that it's more fun to keep the money. Anyhow, he's an assshole for thinking that it's ok to scam. But you know what? It will all come back to him. I just hope that he's operating out of conservative Kanto when he gets caught & shut down.
  3. If u did tell me, I admit that I no longer have the memory of an elephant (it's more like a nervous rodent these days). I look forward to the pics + details! If I get lucky and assume ownership of the 806 in question, then I will post pics here. Cheers!
  4. Man, u got that right! It took years for MK XV and it still ain't even right! And I won't even get into those 39mm diameter IWC chrono dials...
  5. Utterly lovely! Congrats on a fine assortment of gorgeous timepieces!
  6. What watch are have you gone out hunting for? I'm closing in on an Breitling 806 after a 2nd generation steel bezel Breitling ref.765 got loose and ran away.
  7. I don't mind the PP 24, but the fakerino diamonds kill it for me. The J12 is ok, but it is sorta dated IMHO. It would be nice if there were some more classic "timeless" lady reps that are not just fashionable fads. Anyhow, just my opinon. Cheers
  8. I am absolutely sure that most of the ultra-multi-function Benrus, Gigandet and Wakmann-cobbled Breitlings, and Breitlings used the same movement as the all-mighty 6036 Jean-Claude Killy... The super amazing (and quite rare) Valjoux 72C. There were some of these watches that used a modified Venus 178 movement as well (at least for some of the Breitling iternations). You are a lucky man, especially with that killer AOPA dial. I'd love to own an AOPA Navitmer one day, but I'll settle for any ol' ref. 806 to fit into my collection. For that matter, I'll take an AVI Co-Pilot, too PS. Ironically, I am working on trying to get an 806 through a reputed vintage watch dealer that I've known for years. It's not an AOPA-dialed version, but it is a very early 60s 806.
  9. I would assume that they do fit without modification.
  10. It would be nice if there were more ladies reps to choose from aside from the usual suspects out there. I've always been under the impression that there's not enough relative to the men's watches.
  11. I knew it! What a glorious watch by the way!
  12. Stay away from Ken. He has decided that it's worth it to start scamming senior members around here. What an idiot. Anyhow, u have been forwarned.
  13. When it comes to vintage Rolex, I personally do not buy any items when I'm in Italy due to, well: read on: There are more vintage Rolex fakes in Italy than in all of China/Taiwan/Thailand/Australia/Canal Street/Tijuana's Avenida Revoluci
  14. Hey Nanuq, I was asking about your watch in another thread recently. Is this incredible AOPA version powered with a modified Venus 178? What an amazing watch!
  15. I was tryin' to encourage a more uniform platform for consistent pic posting... In otherwords, it would've been cool to have a long archived thread showing what members were wearing over a period of a few weeks or months. But alas, I will let this thread die if it's buggin' folks Cheers
  16. You gotta post some pics of reps underwater! I've been waiting to see reps used in real applications! Cheers
  17. I really appreciate the info... I, too, have placed my order. Cheers
  18. It took me half an hour to get the band off. Now the watch simply resides on the bracelet (until my Hktan pilot strap arrives).
  19. Here are some scans from a vintage Japanese Breitling catalog. I wish that the prices were still the same for this day & age... I'd buy 4 of each model if that was the case!
  20. I can't resist any longer. Tuesday is all about the GMT (fingerprints on the crystal included).
  21. I love the black on black Shell Cordovan strap. I have one, too. My only gripe is that it is not a waterproof version like the other Shell Cordovans.
  22. I've never had a problem getting thru to Don. And the price is right.
  23. Turned out nice. I tried this a while back and it turned my strap into mush. I guess I left it in the bleach 4 too long.
  24. I have not lost hope for a good BP. I hope the rep makers are ready to make an announcement!
  25. Great array of PAMs. When are you shipping me the Base?
