  1. Docblackrock, somehow I knew that you'd be a big fan of the old vintage Heuers! Caliber 11/12 are fantastic movements. They are def. Betamax quality Anyhow, I am somewhat surprised that there are no Autavia reps. I am sure that they would sell (who doesn't like them). Cheers PS. That black-dialed single-button frankenheuer is gorgeous.
  2. Now that is what I'm talkin' about! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  3. I love the Oris. Great watch. Oh, and nice box, too. Cheers
  4. I still can't tell at all if my 3717 had any slight AR on it.
  5. Watch parts are watch parts. In general, most things are not so inexpensive. These facts are part of the game. If u want good parts, u gotta buck up and pay. Cheers
  6. Wow, looks wonderful. The 024 is the best Submersible model to me as it retains total Art Deco asthetics.
  7. It would be too bad if there never was a dial makeover for this watch. It is highly collectible and a true classic!
  8. They look great to me, too. No need to continue treatment(s).
  9. Nice watches, but you are late in sending them all to me Cheers
  10. I'd like to see an Autavia rep, pref. the ol' 3 register version! In fact, I'd like to see more vintage reps in general.
  11. I love that watch! It is a true classic. I wish that IWC made their latest chronos with the old Flieger style as well as the newer Spitfire style. It's too bad they stopped offering both syles for each model.
  12. Nice collection! Do you plan upon adding any vintage pieces?
  13. Love Sinn. Beautiful toolwatches, gentlemen!!! Wish I did not sell my 356 and EZM-1. Now I am Sinnless. I have been enjoying looking at the U1 & U2 recently. I'm thinking, but just thinking right now... I can't decide, and I've got too many ideas as to what I want right now.
  14. I wish the site was working - right now it is under duress of sorts since it will not load at all.
  15. It's amazig to me that such a great new rep would continue to have the typical old flaw of 'short GMT hand'. But... This rep can be used to build a franken with a CN. Then you'd have a 99% GMT-II.
  16. Very simple. U need a jeweller's screwdriver (size 1.60) and unscrew away. Don't forget to remove/reuse the tubes that are inside the strap opening. To prevent unscrewing in case u got loose screws, u can dab on a tiny bit of semi-permanent threadlock (such as Loctite) onto the screw threads. Make sure u use semi-permanent! Cheers
  17. I take 'em off. But then I replace it with genuine (not rep) TRL.
  18. Real great watch, I was admiring this model the other day at my local AD.
  19. Whilst I like the myriad of amazing straps that exist for Panerai, personally, I only like to wear black straps.
  20. I agree that life is short. But it's too short to have bad taste! Personally, I would not wear a BMW t-shirt unless I had one. But that's just me. Conversely, who the hell cares what other people think.
  21. Slightly Off Topic: If u want expensive, just grab a March issue copy of Watch Time magazine and read the article about the new Patek Nautilus. No movement complications, all stainless steel, no gold or any precious stones - totally unchanged watch from previous edition: $17,000 USD. In the April issue of Watch Time, there is a letter written to the editor complaining that Patek "has some serious nerve asking for so much money for such a nothing watch".
