  1. It was a joke, a few days before we had a post with "is it real or rolex"... @Cats Thanks, my friend. And take care of you and my watch...errr - I mean your watch!
  2. I think we have the same idea...
  3. After some critique about my most loved Jubile, I mount the Oyster bracelet now! Also the lugs are reshaped and bevels are done. On the dial I painted the 2 markers over and below the 3 o'clock marker, because they were missing!? Here what I mean on a GEN: Also I polished the sides on the bracelet and reworked the whole band. Now I have to mount some better hands and a gen crown/tube - and someone will own a nice piece, because it is not my taste... (Sorry for the bad pics, I shot them with my mobile cam)
  4. It was not the perfect base, the scan was from a boysize Rolex. I sourced a gen datewheel now and I will make a 1:1 print which will be available in January. I hope I can find the right material for the overlays, because to make ready-to-install ETA wheels is not possible because the wrong date position, as you know for sure...
  5. Thanks, Stephane. I wasn't a friend of these model before, but in real it looks really really almighty!
  6. Thanks! Of course it is not a complete datewheel, only a overlay. But I had never problems with them in past. You have only to center them correctly, thats all! And a few modifications on the space-ring between dial and movement...voila!
  7. Thanks! I don't really know what case it is, but the most importand for me is that the crystal is pressed and the watch is waterproof...
  8. Thanks TMG, the Oyster bracelet needs only a polishing of the link-sides and it is ready to be mounted. But IMO the Jubi is a nice addition to the lot of details on the dial. But I will mount it soon, promised...
  9. On such old watches there are no rules - and that's what I like on vinatge... I have a very good Oyster band for this watch, but this Jubi-band - I love it!
  10. Thanks my friend! That's what i need...
  11. Hi! After some casework, like shaping and drilling lugholes and printing a new flat-top/open6-9 datewheel I put the parts together on a jubi-bracelet with gen endlinks. Also I relumed the dial and vintagize the hands... But where I can get some correct minute and hour hands?
  12. It's a hardly used gen...with nothing "off"...
  13. You don't need pictures, only turn the bezel to the left by pulling it, it should come out without risk to bend it like on the instructions with a knife or else. And maybe you have to try it a few times 'till the spring is on the right position. So don't give up after the first turn...
  14. Sure... ...put some funts more and you will get a gen!
  15. I don't know, they screwed without problems to this depth...and I did it carefully, because I was afraid of breaking the bezel. BTW, the quality of the bezel is unbelievable! AND - the rotor is on the way!
  16. No news about it, the dealer was a little offended that I jumped out of the deal. But he told me that there are no date-change modules in the last minutes before I went to him. And without the module I don't need it...if you are still interested I can call him again... I think this would be interesting for someone who needs to change a broken movement of a gen, but for us to start some project it is not useful.
  17. I have a Jakub crystal here laying around, I would change the crystal...thats all! I like the dial...
  18. I finished my HBB lite, and I have a question to the experts here. Because I don't have experiences with this models ... What I've done: - Jakub AR - Engraved Rotor by Jakub (on the pic it don't looks engraved - but it is! ) - Real ceramic bezel (it was a PVD mounted before) - Hands set to reset exactly on 0/12 - Hands reattach to change date exacly at 12 - Rotor sealed to be smooth So my question is: What now? Is there something else to mod? Or should I sell it? Thanks for looking...
  19. It will never stop! It's now the bane of your whole life... Nice story.
  20. HE Valve is also way off...but it's getting better...
