  1. Vintage models have no spring! It turns free by pushing the bezel down. You have only to bent the washer to be a bit conical, and it fixes the bezel.
  2. Not only UTC. It has UTC/local time, a chrono function and flight time (started/landed). And it calls "Co-Pilote module". I have never seen it before, and maybe I bought the watch because of it. It looks really great! I think, if 007 would wear Breitling - it would be this watch! But it's overpriced IMO, I have the hang tag of it with the price...2150€!? Crazy, isn't it? You can buy another used BCE for the price... And it's a gen BCE with graphite dial, BTW. I bought it a few month ago with complete box and paper set. But worn it since only once. So I am thinking about to sell it again... Will post some pics later. Unfortunately I have no rep here for a comparsion and review. Maybe only a friends V1 BCE graphite...but I think his dial is wrong, I can't remember.
  3. Sure, but mine has white gold markers - like you can see on the pics - and they are from the 80's! 700 crowns were in the beginning of the 70' replaced by the 702, and the 702 in the mid of the 70' by 703. So this crown is CORRECT for my model with white gold markers.
  4. Would be a easy walk... You have the pearl, the pusher lenght and the bezel...so? And more pics will come later!
  5. Feet cutted! Movement: A beautyful working ETA 2789...
  6. Thanks Red. Photoshop only used to size the pics, BTW! OK, some noise reduced on pic 4...
  7. Thanks! Now it looks also sweet to me, but it costs me a lot of nervs and time to find the right mix for the lume...
  8. I would also go for it! The PO prices are falling and falling. The expoII is not anymore in production (I mean the size), so it will hold the price, even rise in future. That's a Rolex my friend...
  9. OK, let it be 50%. No problem about that - I do it for me. And there are no additional costs for assambling/repair, I do it mysef. But I bought the parts one for one in last month, so I don't feel the real costs. Like I said, the Phong case is what hurts me mostly. By last request he asks 1200$!
  10. Not really true, my friend. The 24-703 is the correct one for this model!
  11. That's true, but I have a dial which was very cheap. Now I am searching for a broken 1570 which I would repair, to push the costs down most as possible. All other parts I have laying here around. The phong case will be the most expensive in that project, though...
  12. Hi, the lugs are thinned over 1mm each, and I've shaped a new bevel. It's maybe because the angle - but the bevels are there. I will make some new pics these days... I am very happy with the 2789 movements, and I will always use them in future if I find them! The rotor is not noisy like on the 28xx models. Thanks
  13. Some more details about the build (to cover the 6 hours of work) : - MBW 5513 L series case, thinned case, CG's shaved from inside and outside, drilled lugholes, made sharp edge on top of the bezel (I must say - it is the best MBW case I owned! The inlay is popped in without shaving it down, and there is still nearly a half mm notch 'till top!) - 2789 ETA slowbeat movement, date change parts are removed and converted it from three to two setting positions - hands relumed with custom non glowing pigment mix to match the tritium markers (same mixture used for the pearl) - gen inlay, removed the luminova and replaced with the custom mix - gen tritium dial with flat S - gen 580 endlinks - gen 93150 bracelet - gen springbars - gen 25-19 plexy - gen 703 vintage crown - gen tube
  14. Thanks for the nice comments, guys. No, not with this one. It would be a expensive project - just too close to a gen's 5513 price. But I will put this one in next weeks for sale, and for my next project (1680) I will go with the full package - with phong case and gen movement...
  15. Everything! Watch is after 6 hours of work finished. Sorry for the dust and fingerprints, but it's made in a quick session with my iphone... BTW, specs: Everything gen, except case (fully modded MBW case), hands and movement (ETA slowbeat 2789). Have fun:
