So i was checking this beauty out one day... my dilemma is that i want to trade my gen PO for it. i have three gen omegas and a gen rolex gmt iic. i was naive to think that it could be used a daily beater. well now i have my sites on a "vintage" rollie. i have a this mbw 5512 with gen t19, relumed, gen spring bars, gen crown/tube. the usual suspects. but it was cutting it out for me. the only reason i got it was, i'm a bit of a steve mcqueen fan. And i saw him wearing one in a photo and started my vintage rage. He's asking $4175 obro or $3675 for the head only. He said it's running 15 seconds slow a day, which means it needs a service right? i should factor this in with the cost. How much is my PO 42mm with boxes/papers on a ss bracelet. i feel his price is a bit much. Should i ask him to lower his price? is a 16800 a good transition model?

ok guys. so i took this gamble on timezone. this guy had no posts or feedback. he told me he had pnaet ocean for 2200 usd. I've been contemplating getting franken but the cost is too great. especiall when you factor in a gen bracelet. the rep bracelet didn't cut it for me. so i looked on timezone and other gen forums. A used one goes for about 2300. give or take a a hundred bucks. Well, this guy had one new for 2200. this is a great deal. since used ones go for that price. I told him that i wanted his personal info but he hestitated. He said he didnt want the watch to be traced back to him. So I told him that the only way i would do this deal is that if his personal info check out. So he gave in. To add person protection, i told him to send me an invoice. He agreed. So that added some comfort. To top things off and make things even more convenient for me, i told him id pay 1k now and then 1k after i recieve the watch. After much anticipation, it arrived. what do yo u guys think? the thing is just stunning! the recent hikes in prices of gen made me get this. looks gen to me and even the feel is diferent.

i hate tourneau as well, it because they offer no more than 15 percent off. that only happens if you've brought watches with them before. they are getting more stingy.

i like it but it does take away the bling of it all. however, the original gmt was a tool watch so good job.
