  1. @ Genzo, Yes, it is their 3035 ST case. The 2.7mm is correct. My mistake. I so have a few other gaskets Gary sent for the build. The crystal is Clark's 2mm crystal. The date mag is dead on, specially with TC's date wheel. I have a rounded 3 open 6/9 date wheel that I want to use to complete the 16800, so we shall see.I definitely like the dial from TC, so I may sell the gen I have and call it good. We shall see. I want to smooth everything out so when I take the bezel off I can assure everything is seated right. So far everything is damn water tight and smooth.
  2. Ok I cheated with the 666 build. I bought a SSD from a fellow member at RWI that was relumed by PBDad and added that to the 2836-2 gen movement I was saving for the watch. I couldn't wait any longer to get the movement tested with date wheel blah, blah, blah. Original SSD v2 case jakjo modified with gen crown and TC 93160 bracelet and gen diver extension added. Solid, heavy perfect fit. Still trying to get the perfect epoxy combination to finish the proper dial fitment as well as finish Duke's watch. I think this combination rocks. The date wheel is off, I know. Discovered that this morning. Long rant, now back to the regular scheduled programming.
  3. Chief, You could be right. I got so used to the SSDs that it looks fine to me and the magnification is dead on. The gasket is a 3mm gen and the insert currently is not the gen. I will address the crystal height once I get the gen insert in there. I can tell you the crystal lip is not as pronounced as the picture shows tough. This one is definitely a keeper. The end links were a PITA as I got them from WSO and basically ended up almost making new ones. The TC end links do sit too far back on the V3(only version I have) and Dremel and patience took care of that. Have had the same problem with the 93160 bracelet, but not as much. Addendum: I may go back to the TC v3 bracelet with gen clasp(when I find it) route if I keep this dial instead of the 16800 gen dial I was going to use. For the money, the TC bracelets are more than worth it. The bracelet currently on the watch I got from Pete and was aged well. Just rebrushed it to get it nice and even.
  4. I went the dark route. TC SWISS MADE dial and hands, gen eta 2836-2 movement, gen crown and tube, Clark's crystal, star time case with lug holes and star time complete bezel assembly. Gen insert with cracked insert to follow as well as a gen Swiss T <25 dial to come for my 16800 build to be complete. For now I run the TC ST hybrid on a 93150 bracelet with plain end links eventually I will probably just wear it with the right 593 if I can find them. The TC bracelet is excellent though and looks good for this combo also. If TC could ever source a proper 93150 with clasp all of us will be extremely happy.
  5. Any time brother. E
  6. I have a 702 crown and tube waiting for this. How are we doing on the order?
  7. PM if you want. I have a friend with a small production company who is always looking for interesting material. E
  8. To avoid any issues, just source a 2824-2 movement and call it good. The stem height is minimal in difference when using a 2892, but just go with why works. You won't regret it
  9. CC3, they do become addictive. Have you considered a rugged Bund strap for it? Donerix has a nice design and it just changes the attitude of the watch entirely.
  10. Seems like a nice Sub day. @Freddy, love that Turnie
  11. I do have to say a smaller crown will make a difference though. Is that a 704? That dial is the sheet
  12. Definitely digging it CC
  13. ^^^^ Did you press the video and go?
  14. The folded bracelet is a good upgrade. I keep wearing the 9411 on it. Lighter and somehow still feels safer for use. The 16610 will get a new 93150 when I get the gen clasp and correct 593 end links. For now I'm wearing it daily to test and everything is fitting and wining great thus far. May change the tube and crown to an older gen setup but we shall see. As it comes the ST case is very straight and sharp. The holes although drilled for gen bars needed a little tweaking. I would buy another one for sure. As it is I'm still looking to build a sterile one for my wife to wear.
  15. Startime case. I rounded off the edges and re-drilled the lugs then repolished the whole thing after slightly aging the case. Right now it sports the Startime complete bezel assembly. The crystal is a Clark's crystal. Nice snowflake bro. E
  16. Sub back on the wrist again. Some bad iphone pictures added.
  17. How about a nice 2892?
  18. I'm rocking the 16610 for a stormy Tuesday. E
  19. That's a lovely morning spread. Looking good CC
  20. 9411 day today. E
  21. I personally love the ofrei ones. Star times bars are also good and both have the blunted/ rounded ends
  22. The ST/TC hybrid back on the wrist today. Once I get the 16800 dial on it and correct insert I can then call it a 16800.
  23. I'm down for two of the 5514. I have the right dial and movement for this and just waiting on a decent case. I was going to go with a Trevor one, but this looks dead on. Are we PMing the price? E
  24. Finally got the star time bezel and although not crazy about the insert, the click spring is dead on to a gen. Now i can wear my birthday present and not worry about it . Will swap bezel inserts for the gen. Still trying to get feet glued on the dials and they just don't stick. Water proofed and tested Gen eta 2836-2 (TC v2 dwo) TC's super lumed dial and hands Clark's gen replacement crystal Clark's 3mm gasket Clark's bezel run gasket and case back gasket ST case and bezel reworked and rounded / aged Gen crown and tube Will run with TC v3 bracelet but for now a 93150 with 501b end links
  25. Thanks Nanuq. How many times have you polished that case?
