The DG is a little "grindy" when hand winding. Almost sounds like there's sand in the movement. It does have hacking. Date and time positions. in California I have purchased from Ofrei with no issues. Pretty solid movement. E

On a different note, I took my wife shooting for the first time last year. After a nice gun safety course and me drilling into her head gun safety and first respondant reaction she loves it. She now wants a 1911 in 45. Acp. The woman can now shoot two inch groupings at 30 yards consistently. Her parents are completely against guns and she was raised in that environment. As a sport(if I can use the word lightly) target shooting is awesome. Forget Jedi powers, this is simple, you see it, you aim at it, it's gone. Lol As far as self defense, I'll be the first one to admit a gun is not the first choice, but you don't bring a knife to a gun fight, just as much as you should meet pick a fight. If I'm at home and someone breaks in, the sound of a shotgun racking up will deter most people and make them run to the next house. If I can choose between beating up a criminal for trespassing my safety zone or shooting them, I'll choose beating them up. Trust me, they would not like that

If one changes the canon pinion does one have to also change the seconds carrier pin? Or source a really long tubed seconds hand?

Red, my gen 16800 dial is in the mail. Cannot wait to get it. I'm going for the oxidized dirty look. Got some TC parts and some BK and some Clark's as well as gens. Thanks for the inspiration. E

Unfortunately that watch is not interchangeable with gen parts.

To beat up an old topic, what are the correct spring bars to use with this model? Just curious. With the drilled-through lug holes I can imagine the average 2mmx20mm springbar should be alright. E

Il doing something similar, except, I'm Reshaping the case from scratch. It's such a nice watch the Tudor big crown. Please read carefully the different variants. There's a 100-330 dial that will work out perfectly for this.

Just FWI, the 2813 will probably be better in that case. The 8926 uses a plastic movement holder so you'll be alright. I have build a few watches using the 8926c as a foundation, including a big crown homage great little watch for th emoney and true diving capabilities. E

Ok, how BAD is the BK/TW case compared to the TC/Sean case? I mean, is there a pictorial comparison around? Also, the TC springbar for the bracelet, is it a good solid fit(quiet), if so, can we just "dimple" it ourselves? I'm getting my BK case today and sending it to Justin for the lug bar treatment as I still have not received my drill bits. I'm using a combination of TC, BK and Clark's parts with gen crystal and crown(the BK tube accepts the gen crown) E
