Looking at it it is not the same animal. The rehaut engraving is not present on mine and the rehaut angle seems a little more pronounced on yours. If you look at one of the pictures I took, the angle is steeper(more vertical) and thus less pronounced. Yours is not bad though. I like those crown guards. E

I have a case and movement and just waiting for dial and hands to make a stealth one. Love the idea of a 212 stealth

Red, is that a pair of gen hands on the 'flake? what crystal is that? E -
The ETA 2824 movement rings fit. Some filing for height may be required. Depending on the case I have used either the 2836 spacer or the 2824 and the diameter is all the same, the height is where the trick is. Ken has some as well and I think I have a few spares. PM me the inside diameter of the case and the dial rehaut and I see if I find something that matches. E

Raffles-time has them. If you buy a new movement from him, the movement often comes with a dial spacer. I have some of those spacers with the feet cutouts. With the DG movements, the retainer screws for the feet also allow you to install the dial without fully seating in the dial to the movement. E

I have a few DGs like that. The O and W logo are a dead giveaway. I have a few "no longer complete"(read seconds pin broke off) If you'd like one for the date gears let me know. E

Looks Dg. Any shots of the balance wheel side?

Joey, thank you. I saw these posted on Ken's store and thought they looked great. Yes could be better. Now, all this talk about GMTs has me wanting a Guevara special.

Lovely information for sure.

Thanks guys. I may have to search for a noob insert then. I tried the SSD insert and it's too small in outer and inner diameter. The funny thing is that an Invicta 8926 insert fits dead on. @Alli, I love that 16800 build. I looooove the one on the right. That is an inspiration for sure. I was reading up on it last night in anticipation to this watch making it home. I definitely dig the crown guards and I plan on doing the crown/tube swap as well as lug drilling. Just because I feel a tool watch should just have that damn hole.through. @Red, so far the water resistance is good and I cannot complaint. The crystal doesn't bother me much, but it will be nice to have a decent insert with a matching pearl. The lume on the watch is almost the way I like it, reactive and doesn't last more than an hour but it's nice and even. I definitely don't want to get too crazy with this though, just enough to wear it in all conditions. Just ran the three daily miles with it on and no hiccups at all. Tugging and pulling on the dog and nothing fell off HAHA E

After almost a year and change of wait, I was able to get my hands on a correct serial number Noobmariner (Thanks a million VARock) F520117 serial number case. I always wanted one of these from reading old reviews and wanted to see one for myself. Maybe play with moding a little and wear it as a daily. Now, The rehaut is indeed very good on this one. Crystal not too bad and the SELs actually fit pretty decent. The dial is not too bad, and the date mag can be better, but I cannot complaint. I need to get a bezel insert for it and perhaps put a lower profile crown on it. The crown guards are very good IMO. Overall I think the watch is good as is. I cleaned up a bit and will smooth out the edges a bit. From reading posts on several boards, I gather that the Clark's crystal won't fit, but how about the TC one? Which insert is the go to insert for these cases? I may age it just enough to dull the black a bit and will eventually go the drilled through lug holes just for the better spring bars. I water tested the case (just got it today BTW) and it's good to 3ATM thus far. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

May have to use the aged dial that turned blue. To the OP, there are a few nice Blue dialed subs. E -

Is that a Clark's insert? How do they compare to the "other" ones? E -

Thank you brother. I did purchase the airbrush kit and we shall see if I can perfect the "thin layer" technique for hand painting. E- 46 replies

God! the more I look at the case comparison the more I think it only needs the lug holes drilled and a decent dial to set it off. I may have to sell the noobmariner to fund this. Yuki does show stock of this certain matte 16800 dial.... E How about you contact me on that case and i can send you a Polex one with drilled lugs for gen bars that could use to lose the Cgs? E

I wonder how different the Phong 128 is from Gen as far as diameter goes. I think Eric has one on this 7031. E- 46 replies

I haven't actually spec'ed the crystal on this model yet. Whatever the specs for the gen crystal are. I guess M can chyme in as I have no idea what it should be. I find it hard to take the crystal off to measure it right now. This weekend I may play around with the case and the Poljot 3133 movement E- 46 replies
