Same as above, but I have also had packages never arrive at their destination. You can always start a trace.

TC Sub with Clarks Crystal, 2.7mm Gasket, home made crystal press
Ephry73 replied to cib0rgman's topic in The Rolex Area
Stupid question regarding the 16610/16800 crystal retainer, how far down does one press it in? On the older cases not all the way down, same method? E -
I wonder if this is a DW case set. Hmmmm
-
MSP, did that dial get the matte refinishing? Looks great BTW. E

Thanks gavidoc. If only I could get this feet business down I will be set. E

Apple picking day. Yes I know too early and hot for my taste. Got some nice tomatoes though. PN 6263 on leather bund E

Thanks J. Btw, edit. The 7750 movement was worked on by Spinmaster, not Zig. Had a weird moment there.

I will check the gaskets against the crystal tomorrow. Confirmed, the gasket I received from Gary is indeed a 3mm gasket. He also sent me a 2.7mm. Chief is right, I see a lip around the crystal that is sitting just to high(damn you're good) Perhaps I should press the crystal into the gasket with a press before pressing the retainer ring in? not sure how far to press the crystal in, or the retainer BTW. How far down should I press the crystal retaining ring then? Specially since there is no friction spring. Thanks guys. E

Thanks Woof. I definitely have to pick up some of M's writing skills and detail some of the ones I'm proud of. E

I have a Clark's with decent pearl that snaps in the gen bezel or gen like bezels. Bleaches out nicely too

TC Gen Spec Bezel Insert & Pearl Project Update
Ephry73 replied to tc670207's topic in The Rolex Area
I would love at least two of these. E -
The dial I am definitely leaving as is. It is matte finished and has a "salty" look that I just love. I have been having bad luck with glueing feet down so not sure now. I don't need to do anything to this but just get the feet done and match hands down to it. I will take pictures in daylight of the dial. @ Experts, Would this dial be from the later 16800 run based on the shorter Coronet? The lume is completely gone so it is definitely older than 25 years. @CT, let me know about the pearl brother. I have a Clark's insert that just needs a nice pearl and some light bleaching to be perfect. E

Also, look for the ones with the "stretched" coronet, which are more accurate. L placement as well. E

Thank you guys. These normally spend their life in drawers or in my tool box as my mood changes or I need to upgrade. All of these, except for the 6263 have gen eta movements. The 6263 has an Asian 7750 reworked by the Spinmaster(edited) himself. 6263 Specs(edited) DW case and bezel (this may change once I find a proper and decently priced bezel) gen tube and crown and gen pushers Reshaped and softened by me 3ATM tested DW and eBay and Ofrei hands Dial sourced from Chiman and looks awesome. I cleaned up a bit and that's it. Will source a crown eventually Clark's T21 crystal Donerix Bund strap and also have a gen 7835 folded strap with '71 ends for it. Monte Carlo specs DW case set(Reshaped and softened by me. Water proof tested to only 3ATM but that is fine by me) DW crystal DW dial and hands thus far(The dial was aged and baked with the hands by me to give it a sun damaged effect and it works well for me) Gen crown and tube(changed from 702 to a 703 folded back) gen pushers Valjoux 7734 gen movement refurbished and cleaned still waiting on a 45min conversion 7836 folded bracelet and 580 ends and love the look. The Donerix strap looks great on it , but love it better on a NATO or bracelet I'll do a full pictorial and specs breakdown one of these days. All gaskets and o-rings have been sourced from Clark's and lubed accordingly Thanks for the comments guys @CC I'm building one 6263 like yours one of these days.

Was putting the watches together to see what project I could tackle next once I complete the SSDs and thought of a little group shot while I had the chance. Can't really pick a favorite yet. But I guess it is all based on what mood I am in and what I'm doing while wearing the watch. From left to right, my Monte Carlo, the 9411, 16800/610 still in progress, the SSD with emergency dial and the exotic dial 6263 wearing a Donerix custom strap. One picture, just because. E

I have the ST insert(bottom left of picture) which has a good fit on the ST bezel. The Clark's insert has also a pretty good fit on the ST bezel and has the pointy 4(bottom right of picture), pearl not as good, but decent. Then the gen faded and aged insert(on watch) with perfect cracked pearl and no lume left on it which also fits ok against the ST bezel. For the money, the Clark's insert is not bad at all and only requires a pearl change if you're after perfection and genuine looks. Please forgive me for the crappy iphone pictures.

That sounds like a sweet deal and awesome alternative. Pm cost?

Hmmm. A glide-lock clasp would be sweet.
