  1. agree with Teejay! Just to pitch in again, I found an buddha lion image that can be symmetrical to the elephant: Add the Enso to the raised paw and voila!
  2. Wait for the next generation tabs with Tegra3. All tabs right now can only play maximum 1080p with basic profile. Most 1080p content in the web are encoded with advanced profile.
  3. Repfan field trip? Where do I sign up?
  4. if it's a part of a leg band I would imagine the second one. Although it's hard to incorporate the Enso.
  5. Audiophile until now? I was listening with Senn HD550s and a chinese tube amp (Little Dot MKIII). I appreciate the quality of sound, but apparently "golden ears" is very unlikely with me so I shifted to another hobby
  6. Hey guys! I've been through a lot of hobbies-- from wall climbing, building custom pcs, being an audiophile, playing Magic the gathering, creating custom ROMs, and photography. The last thing I did before going here is model photography: I'm getting more interested in learning how to service movements on my own so I'm going to be here for a while So what were you doing before this hobby?
  7. Actually, after more researching, this thread nails it: I'm not sure if the QC already improved nowadays, but in any case: Swiss movements are easily serviceable in terms of parts are easily available. Asian movements (most or some?) are serviceable but parts are hard to find (is this still true?) From days of reading the forum, the reliability is not guaranteed even if you have ETA movement. The plus side is the serviceability of the movement, as freddy333 mentioned. It's just frustrating since you're paying premium for something that's more fixable and not because it's more reliable
  8. By that he means the camera is crappy :-) one thing you learn in photography is that it doesn't matter what crappy camera you have, you can still produce amazing photos if you're skillful enough ;-) Great shots rckh! Makes me wonder how beautiful it really is in the flesh :-)
  9. Just made my day! hahaha Looking at the hit counter the viewers are mostly in it for the story! Thanks for sharing!
  10. Thanks for the insight-- I didn't even know that an advertised 'swiss eta' can be either genuine swiss ETA or Stellita
  11. New here, so be gentle on me Premium rep watches is priced higher if there is an ETA movement in it. The prevailing notion is that ETA movement is better than Asian movement in reps. But how much better? What I want to point is, the reliability of the movement will still be in question whether it is an ETA or Asian movement (this doesn't count fully-serviced movements after you bought it). Correct or not? No speculations-- actual experiences please
  12. Seems you fancy "aged" watches. Nice collection!
  13. lost in translation... they suck you?
  14. resurrected from the dead post! damn those spammers :b
  15. What a beauty! I like the modern haute design. The other watches in the Freak collection is not for my taste though :-)
  16. calatrava, did you measure its accuracy already? Even if it's a non-existing model the simplicity of the design is just so beautiful!
  17. I'm also new, and I'm thinking of getting a 3714-01 as my first rep But from what I've read the movement is a ticking bomb-- I would still like to have one though and make a franken I'm not familiar with the modding procedures though; is a frankened watch will be supplied or you have to mod it yourself? PM me if the reply is not appropriate here thanks!
  18. Lurking for a while-- previously mad about Rolex Sub but always considered to buy a rep; eventually bought an original, but still intrigue about high quality reps Found this site as actual community users review better than google results
