  1. Being US American based, I assume it would not, therefore, preclude the use of Cockney Rhyming Slang? - Opens up a whole new can of worms, me ole China !!
  2. I'm SO glad "wanking" isn't censored - I love "wanking", (it's such a great word !!)
  3. Joshua is selling it for $368 !! Link to details here - The AR is so strong, the dial appears blue in all the photos !
  4. What kind of Navitimer is this???? EDIT: If the link doesn't work, the Item No. is: 180189188379
  5. Thanks for the review andreww I love the BCE but for me, the jury is still out on the Blackbird....
  6. You'll probably find the watches are very similar, if not the same. The difference is in the operation and service offered by Jay (Silix) and Trusty (Andrew). One clue to the differences between the two can be seen from the websites, however, it doesn't mean that the watches offered by Silix are of a lesser quality. Andrew is much quicker at responding to emails where Jay sometimes takes a little longer. You pays yer money and yer takes yer choice... I've had watches from both Silix and Jay and prefer to pay less, even if I have to wait a little longer for my watch to arrive...
  7. ...In fact, ANY Omega other than this one - the crown guard on this makes my toes curl !!! - Of course this is only MY opinion (after all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder !) As piratedzeus says, this is a far more accurate rep: SMP Chrono
  8. Welcome !! And thanks for providing us Brits with a Good Laff (at YOUR expense, of course !!) - Only kidding !
  9. I think you are probably right but it was his pronunciation that made me laugh !
  10. I'm not sure - your guess is as good as mine !
  11. I was working away from my normal base the other day when a guy who I had only just met, noticed my rep Pam 111h. He suddenly said "I like your PANEERY, is it one of the diving ones?" I didn't know whether to burst out laughing or just walk away !! He told me that "you don't see many of them around" (I assumed he meant my "Paneery" !!). I was going to ask him how he had recognised my watch but I the opportunity never arose as he became engaged in a conversation with someone else but it certainly brightened up my day and I had to smile everytime I saw him for the rest of that day !
  12. The fool with a zero rating that bought it for
  13. Awesome pictures by By-Tor, as always ! I have had my SMP Chrono for a while now and although it is a fantastic rep, I still find it quite a heavy weight on my wrist compared to the non Chrono and consequently, it doesn't get the wrist time it probably deserves. However, looking at By-Tor's photos makes me want to drag it out of the drawer and wear it again !!
  14. Many thanks for your reply azerbyjam - it puts my mind at rest ! However, it does make you wonder why the sellers can't be honest with what's actually inside their watches. Having been told I will be receiving a watch an ETA 2836, that was actually what I was expecting to get ! It's a bit like being told that the car you are buying has a 2 litre petrol engine and then getting it home to find it has a 1.9 litre diesel engine !!
  15. The PO I bought from Jay, (not UPO but "Latest Version"), was advertised as having either an ETA 2836 or 2824 movement. When I asked which mine would come with I was told it would be supplied with a ETA 2836 movement unless I specifically wanted the 2824. I said I was happy to receive it with the 2836. When it arrived, I opened the back and found it had an ETA 2834-2 !! I have done a search and haven't been able to find a great deal on this particular movement. Can anyone tell me if this is a good movement and as reliable as the 2824-2 or 2836 and is it suitable for the PO? Thanks !
  16. Maybe it's a way of cutting costs - why use a METAL spring when you could use .......
  17. I'm glad I wasn't dreaming !! I haven't even tried my Asian SFSO in the shower yet... I doubt I'll ever get to 1000m, 42m is the deepest I've ever been !
  18. Was I dreaming or did one (or more) of the collectors claim their Super Ocean Steelfish was "guaranteed" waterproof to 1000m? Does anyone know who it was and is this version of Steelfish still available?
  19. I recently took a Harley 1200 Sportster for a test ride and it nearly rattled all my fillings out - if I owned one, I'd probably have to leave the reps at home !!! No such probs on my Ducati though
  20. And the scary part is, it doesn't matter how many watches you buy, the excitement and anticipation of that little parcel popping through your door never diminishes (and you'll never look at a Casio again) !!
