Received this over a week ago and finally got round to posting some pics - I took the SS (Speedy style) bracelet straight off and put the SMP rubber strap on. The strap is not a brilliant fit as a gap appears when I wear it but it still looks pretty good!

I also have both the ETA and "Lite" versions but from different dealers and I've noticed that the "Lite" version actually has a more accurate bracelet than the ETA version, it has a more pronounced curve to it. As I said, they came from different dealers so I don't know if that is the reason or if the bracelet has been "improved" for the "Lite" version. As for the movements, there both run very well but the ETA doesn't keep such good time as the "Lite". All in all, the "Lite" version UPO is a fantastic rep for the money and I couldn't recommend it more highly !

Hi ! That's a great looking 007, better than the reps that are out there at the moment! As for the PO, I had the same dillema and plumped for the $128 ETA copy. If you believe the pics and the description, it apperas to be the same watch, different movement. IMHO, if you're happy with a cheaper movement, you can't go wrong - it's a helluva watch for the money !

I think TimeBandit has something, I know the SMP has been around a long time, like a comfy pair of slippers, but the sole is definately wearing thin ! If the collectors (or whatever we're supposed to call them these days), can keep improving on the PO, can't they do the same for the SMP and bring out a true and faithful rep of the latest "Co Axial" SMP? The POS that Josh is selling as the latest SMP is a step back to the dark ages. That's my 2p's worth...

A fantastic rep (which I also own) but I still find myself wearing the Orange UPO while the SMP Chrono sits in the draw looking pretty... (pretty dejected !!).

Great shots ! I also have the rubber "strapped" UPO and it does look good. I'm just waiting for my K800i to be "unlocked" so I can use it on O2 and I can start taking some quality shots with it !!

Titanium is hypo-allergenic so it shoud never irritate your skin - the same can't be said for a layer of crud !!!

I think maybe you misunderstand me, I have absolutely nothing against Jay & Angel, I have bought a few watches from them and I can't praise their service highly enough. I am merely saying that for $150 you can buy Jay's equivalent of a UPO (he calls it the Latest Version) or you can pay an extra $50 and get a different caseback, a different second hand and water resistance. IMHO, the CR PO being offered by Silix and the "cartel" is not as good as we had all hoped, especially as the UPO has evolved into such a fantastic and popular rep...

I agree - I've had a couple of watches take only 4 days to arrive from China and it's taken Parcelforce a week to get them to me and on one occasion, lost a watch altogether !!

I agree, call me cinical but it's almost as if they "threw in" the "water resistance testing" to make up for other deficiencies in the watch and make you feel like your gettinga little "extra" for your money.

Very disappointing after all the hype ! The minute hand is shorter, the date font is rubbish and apart from the case back, second hand and Omega symbol, you are paying an extra $50 for not a lot...

I bought a PO from Silix and they call it the "Latest Version" PO. I asked if it was the same as the "Ultimate" and was told that the "Latest Version" and the "Ultimate" are sourced from different factories. The pearl on the "new" Casino Royale is the same as that on my "Latest Version", the Omega symbol is different (the symbol on the standard PO from Silix is larger than the symbol on the "Ultimate" from TT and Josh). The date font on Silix's CR is worse than that on their standard PO and the He placement appears to be the same - just slightly above the 10 O'clock mark. Hope this helps... - Oh, and the minute hand on the new CR from Silix DOES look shorter... I've been waiting with bated breath for the Casino Royale from Silix but I'm not that impressed now it's finally here. It's different, (slightly), but not awe inspiring. Think I'll put my wallet away again, for now...
