Someone is trying to sell me this watch with gen dial/hands can you help me spot this?

Disregard 1950 case...it has a daylight case

Anybody know what a panerai 250 daylight might be worth with a genuine 1950 case, genuine dial, genuine hands with a Swiss valjoux 7753?

Well having my financial life spiral into the ground back up then spiral back down again I can officially say I have no watches! I've owned everything from super Sean 3135 powered subs to panerai daylight to some rare pieces such as bk transformers. Now I have 0 watches! It is beyond a weird feeling for me and hurts even more to see such beautiful watches in the wild but not to worry gents I have a very nice build coming up as my life heads in a more positive manner! Gotta say you guys have been a great group for the few years I've been on here!

Is it me or does this smell like a BP case and dial

Just curious if this watch ever got the blue lume?

I thought so...hope someone doesn't pay to much for a BP case...I didnt like the lugs either..

What are your thoughts on this one guys? Couldn't post a link but here is the eBay item #111132693742. Is that a real case? He states the crystal is aftermarket

Something just doesn't look right about that crystal..

The bevel on the side should be nicely curved and not sharp and should be very clear on the sides not foggy. It's a lot easier to see if it has LEC

My gen subc had the blue tint... Very lightly though not as aggressive as bp

He must supply a better looking cyclops and DWO then factory.

I have not seen v2 pearl in person but on the pic it wasn't very good looking but that could be for a number of reasons.

If you had some money to play with and some time to mod you could definitely make one heck of a nice subc with no gen parts harmed. My recipe to a perfect sub would be the following. -BP head -Noob buckle (SEL on BP is desirable) -BK dwo -Swiss ETA 2836-2 -Take down crystal gasket (too tall on BP) -Noob dial with BP markers Now that's a recipe for an amazing ceramic. You could buy a noob and a BP and make yourself the desirable one and sell off the other one and recoupe some money. I'd imagine you would be in that watch no more then 540.00

Yes. Another thing to note on pearl with noob is its also not very good. A noob is a great choice if your going to mod it and change things around. BP is an amazing out of box rep that doesn't need fine tuning unless you want it. Personally a BP sub with a noob bracelet is a perfect choice

Minus case and bracelet of course. But yes the bezel, bezel ring, click spring, insert, washer is all factory

I just believe they really ruined the "submariner" as I know it with the new ceramic sub. They way it sits on the wrist to the fat lugs just throw the whole thing off. I've owned both gen and rep and was never satisfied. I throw on my 16610 and the watch almost disappears and doesn't dig into my wrist. Plus when i throw on a nato on a 16610 it looks awesome but throwing a NATO on the ceramic sub gives it a really awkward appearance. Just my opinion though.
