the pusher on this one is broken so it only runs in "chrono mode" so I will have it serviced but heck I got it on the super cheap side so its a great little beater
Anyone know which factory this Daytona came from? It looks and feels amazing. I found it locally and it seems like who ever had this knew their watches!
Thanks. If your thinking of doing any DATEJUST build you really should consult with mymanmatt. he can get you going in the right direction for sure! Now has anyone ever converted a SEL TC v3 bracelet into a 2 piece end piece bracelet? I would love to take a V3 scrap the buckle and end pieces and have the correct hollow link bracelet this baby is supposed to have
Yup she's an old silver dial gone blonde you guys sure have some awesome datejusts! I'm wanting to convert a TC v3 bracelet into a correct hollow link 2 piece with gen buckle. Or if I'm lucky a gen oyster bracelet
Just thought I'd share my latest addition to my collection. Mymanmatt made 16234 with the following. Genuine dial Genuine crystal Genuine bezel Genuine crown (not installed) Case/bracelet/movement is mymanmatt supplied parts
Rubber ball is only good for opening but you can not torque the back down properly. I would only use a ball if I was buying a watch and wanted to make sure the movement was in good shape.
Im wondering if I take off the SEL and split the last links and put in a non SEL link which accepts the end piece if that would work. has anyone done that? if its not possible where can I get a nice hollow link 2 piece bracelet?
There is a trick to re-assembling. You have to put the crystal on with the gasket then put the metal ring over that once that is done you need to press the bezel ring over the retaining ring and make sure you already have all the bearings in!
