Hi, I bought this 210 locally for pretty cheap. It looked very nice and needs a strap but can anyone give me any insight of this model? Is the movement correct cause online they have the same movement with out the panerai lettering. Also the 2 big gears are pretty ugly and not brushed and polished as per gen.
The laser etched came around in early 2000s when they started phasing out the holes cases. Really nothing notable changed in the shape, design, and clarity of the crystal besides the LEC appearance.
Ive seen your watch in person from tw best and its final stages and all I can say is wow! it turned out great! I of course went thru this with the stainless from TW best to super super franken and doing it again with a SEAN YM. Only thing it needs is a nice set of new hands.
Just curious if anyone has experience in swapping out the AP 7750 6,9,12 configuration with a genuine swiss ETA 7750? I have a friend who wants to swap. Also what models could I buy and directly plug in a Swiss 7750
I have a friend with a AP ROO with Asian valjoux 7750 that he just can't keep it alive. He has serviced it, had it repaired, parts replaced and still it runs terrible. I am trying to help him possibly opt for a genuine Swiss ETA 7750 17j movement. Any experience swapping out movements with the genuine counterpart? Hands compatible? Datewheel transferrable? How will it fit the case? Many thanks in advance for your replies!
Just picked up a bk/Sean YM and I love it! (Except the dial) of course if anyone knows me by now I plan on going super Franken (gen platinum dial already in stock) I just want to know if anyone has experience assembling genuine parts such as movements, dials, bezels...anything I need to worry about? So far I have the genuine crown and tube already done so that's good!
That is discontued on later models with the one piece SEL. Now the 93250 stamping is on the SEL itself on the very end between the top and the bottom of the last link.
You will have to clip the dial feet and file down the remaining a of the dial feet. After that you will need a dial ring to install on the backside of the dial so you can then mount it to the ETA. Also make sure the dial coming off the watch is the same diameter as the gen. Could be to small or to big
