I actually bought this for a buddy and honestly its OK...would MUCH rather spring for a TW best any day. spend 400 dollars and immediately it needs a CG mod and the movement is tricky when adjusting hands, date and winding it was binding if I diid not wind it on the sweet spot. I personally would not mess with this watch IMHO.
Sorry ill post pics later today the watch has gen crystal gen crown and tube and slow beat eta currently I want to install a red sub dial and correct bracelet. PS which is the correct bracelet for a 1680
So I was looking at my 5513/1680 converted case and noticed POLEX between the lugs!?! Has any one modded it to say ROLEX? also does anyone know the history of the POLEX cases? just curious why they would have misspelled it to say POLEX not ROLEX...and I also saw a TW best that had the word design spelled wrong? is this on all the TWs or just some...interesting to why the cases on some models are misspelled...my guess to avoid a case from rolex?
thanks in advanced for any explanation!
I wouldn't hesitate on a bk watch any day. 2836 is a known dependable movement and bk takes a watch further then what your gonna get from a trusted dealer
I have a small handful of movement that needs servicing but mainly I have a Swiss 2836-2 that needs to be overhauled regulated and timed. Who and how much am I lookin to spend for this service
Ya end-link correction and BAM! perfect rep I may have TW end links if you want them not sure if I'll use them or not but for the amount of effort you have on this piece you definitely deserve dibs
If you can get your hands on a Swiss 7750 they are reliable but expensive and not on the new market. Check Josh's site and look at his new improved 31 jewel movement. Supposed to be modded for reliability then send it to Pbdad have him do an over-haul and If you can get your hands on a Swiss 7750 they are reliable but expensive and not on the new market. Well good news and bad news...good news you can get a Daytona with functioning chronos for the budget you have...bad news is its a a7750 which are known to be ticking time bombs. I've heard there's a better version that's supposed to be more reliable but I'm not 100% on that. I live in in north Texas and have not had an issue with any rep ever delivered (I've had dozens of reps shipped from all over) hope this helps!
