Well I have been studying the hell out of this watch since I go it and looks like the members of the forum agree this example (not mine) is no doubt gen and it looks identical in every way like mine and even has an off center pin in the CGs as well... http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/thread/1416611605/Need+Help+on+Pam+005 I think I got myself a good watch in my opinion. heres what I leaned to look for polished center pinion on hands.. check Y incabloc check correct 6 on dial check movement is no doubt swiss check non squared corners on CG check The position is not off according to the pics online of G series watches I have encountered. I have noticed on late models the pin is more center but looks to be the older generations had these crown guards. (or perhaps it is after market?) if this watch is indeed fake I will just give up on gen PAMS in the future lol i would be DONE WITH IT!! haha

Ok guys this is also posted in the PAM section but I just bought this panerai 005 at a very good price but I used my best knowledge on gauging this and you guys know how it is with these panerai replicas. They are just down right scary. Will a PAM expert please chime in and tell me if this is a gen or not and why? I commonly buy rolex but want to sharpen my Panerai eyes now for the pics!!

I can't seem to catch much luck these days with the TDs. I've bought 3 watches from puretime and 2 came in bad shape. First I received a blue dial DJII and when it came the paint had chipped off the dial, they refused to send me a new dial cause the QC images did not reveal this (perhaps shipping damage?) Ordered a new dial from intime and figured ok no big deal I'll have to just bite the bullet on this one. Now I pretty much lost my cool with the last order. Day-date II ordered and what I received is by no means even acceptable! The watch has rotor parts rattling around inside, the stem is coming all the way out and no matter how much I wind it it will not run. There is no way this watch could have passed QC!!! AND IT still is shipped to me! All I have to say from MY experience is BUYER BEWARE

Let me start off by saying I have known Matt since I was a kid. He was there for me when i got my first rep DJ and he turned it into a master piece when I was 13. It blew my mind at such a young age and I've been in the rep scene ever since. I am so happy I got to introduce him to the forums and he has been able to extend his expertise to all of you guys. Matt is truly a remarkable person. Truly a honor to know the guy.
