I don't know if this is possible but if it is I know someone here will know how to do it. I have just bought a RG Radiomir. I have to say it is more like yellow in colour, but it is really really bright. Is there anyway that it can be dulled so its not so shiny?! Think I may have to sell it on if there is nothing I can do - it's a bit bling at the moment. Thanks in advance for any help. Tom.

May I ask what you used to apply the powder? I am (probably foolishly) going to try a lume job using Tritec in the next few weeks but don't know what to use, and can't find an oiler, which I know is what The Zigmeister uses.

I'll take one definitely - let me know how its done if we make up the numbers.

I agree - PVD backplates would look amazing.

I've got one of the orange limited edition BR01-92 rep watches and love it. It gets more comments that any other watch I own, but the more I wear it, the more I want it lumed - there is currently no lume on it at all. It would be a tricky job indeed, but I wondered, has anyone out there tried it or thinking of trying it. Also - can anyone advise. Does the screw on the back which says "do not unscrew" allow the crown to be removed? Please please someone do a good rep of the BR03-92 soon.

I work near the only dealer in London, so have to look at them on my way to work everyday. I've got quite a large wrist and the 46mm still looks far too bling. I've got a 39mm Orange/PVD and I love it - I also have a gen rubber strap and the canvas one for it, as my girlfriend does their PR and I can tell you they look great - the leather that the rep comes with does not do it justice. I can't see that the front screws, date window, rear hex bolts, crown and second hand would be that expensive or difficult to rep. This watch gets me more looks and comments than any of my 12 reps bought to date. I only wish it had bright orange lume. I would get an 03 if it was rep'd, imemdiately and I think a lot of other people would too.

Could anyone advise me please? I have a dealer in China who I have been happily using for three years now. He is very trustworthy and reliable, not to mention excellently priced. I have recently been sent a watch (Chanel Superleggia) which is faulty and I want to send it back. However, I recently sent a faulty Glashutte back to him, which got stopped at Chinese customs and confiscated. Apparently China do not let watches into the country (check out the other things they won't admit - digital cameras, and a lot of other very odd things). I sent the Glashutte standard Royal Mail recorded (I'm UK based). Do you think it would make a difference if I sent it fedex or dhl or another courier. I enjoy doing business with him but am worried I won't be able to send anything back to him due to Chinese customs. These are the only two watches out of 20-30 I have bought that were wrong, but obviously I don't want to lose another one. Cheers guys

I already have a sneaking suspicion that this is not a good idea, but it has been niggling all over Christmas and I now want to take it apart and attempt a lume job. The sandwich dial will make it much much easier and I think I will get some Davidsen hands rather than attempt them myself. I reckon it won't be that tricky, and if it all goes wrong - I'll just get another. Such is the wonder of reps. However, I have searched for an hour to try and find a link in the forum that shows you how to remove the back, take the pin out, unscrew the mechanism and separate the sandwich dial from the main dial. I have bought all the correct tools so please can someone point me in the right direction? I also want to do an orange lume job on my B&R but I think that will be a different story altogether. I can see that - its far too cheap for a start, but just wondered if anyone knew the brand or whether its any good. I suppose I should also ask where I can buy Superlume in the UK or Europe? Any pointers guys?

I have a PAM217 and a B&R watch which I would like to get lumed up. I am interested in doing this myself as I have the necessary tools and can get hold of the lume. I have never tried to attempt it before, but have a couple of PAM's I bought a few years back, which I could practise on, as If it all goes [censored] up it doesn't matter. My questions is, has anyone else attempted this work rather getting an expert to do it for them? I have searched the forum buy can't find any information. What do you need apart from a very steady hand and a magnifying glass? Can anyone help? PS - my gut feeling is that i'll regret it, but I like to try these things.

Seems like getting another one will be pricey, but apparently this can be quite common and its a bit of a glaring error, so if you're going to get a PAM217 it might be worth double checking first. Can anyone help? I just received a 217 from a dealer in China who has been very reliable in the past. Unforuntaly the crown guard on the watch is upside down? the catch points upwards rather than downwards like a 1950. Has anyone else come across this? Would anyone know if I could get a guard to right this problem? My chinese guy is very honest and asked me to return it, but it against Chinese law to import watches of any kind and as I found to my cost they always get confiscated at chinese customs. It was only $100 so I guess I shouldn't be that surprised but it has started to grate.
