  1. Oh bugger - you just said that!!!
  2. I think this is the watch that featured on the UK TV's Antiques Roadshow recently - hardly suprising that the owners selling it after he discovered how much it's worth!!
  3. If you have the 7750 flyback then it will not work as the sub dial spacing is not the same.
  4. I have diamond paste at work so could send you some.
  5. Well then it's priceless if you think about it. @Nanuq - those are beautiful movts - who said the Swiss were the master watchmakers!! I recently went to an watch and clock flea market where a seller specialised in American Pocket watches - I have never seen such amazing decoration on the movts - Walthams and Elgins in particular.
  6. Thanks R - I appreciate that.
  7. It's still a nice PW even though it's really worth perhaps little more than it's scrap value for the gold - you still need to do some research. The movt is quite plain but that does not mean it's not a good quality piece. The scratchings look old too so I would leave the there for the moment!!
  8. That scribble looks like a date! It's probably not worth a fortune - I'm inheriting a solid gold 1915 Lange & Sohne PW that is worth around $10,000 so being Waltham you might find this is worth perhaps half that or less - but certainly worth getting valued and serviced for sure. What would be nice is if you could pop the back open and take a pic of the movt. I suspect you will find that it is beautifully decorated - something US PW makers were very good at - in fact they could knock spots off the swiss in movt decoration.
  9. Indeed you do Sir!!
  10. Bump shamelessly!!!
  11. C'mon guys - a few months ago there were loads of you!!
  12. I stand corrected - I have a friend who wants this but told me it'a a 46mm case so was not interested.
  13. Isn't the gen supposed to be 46mm dia?
  14. Must be blind!! It's not something that can be offered in advance with a ready to go case as the cost of buying in the cases is too expensive to hold a stock that might not get sold. This is why I offer this as a custom service for people that already have a watch that they want coating.
  15. Thanks for that - I will give it a go.
  16. Well I guess you have to count me in!!
  17. Seems almost too good - I'm sure the rotor bearings look rusty and it's a HK based seller so maybe these were destined for the reps but rejected?
  18. Kruzer - check the post in GD titled Panerai help - the He valve is correct!!!
  19. Better rush out and get it as it does have He on the valve - just found this pic on TZ of a gen. In fact this could end up being another almost perfect ready to wear rep!!!
  20. Duh - cupid stunt!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1
  21. I can also confirm that I have not seen anymore with any problems. My own has been running fine for several months now and I am very happy with it.
  22. Just wondered if anyone has experienced this seller as I need a 2836 movt - unless you have one for sale then let me know please.
  23. Gentlemen the first samples will be produced in week 48 which is next week and if all's well the final print run will be done in week 49 which is the 4 - 8th December. So please indicate here if you are wanting the 2893 GMT wheel for the 029 and 063 GMT Panerai. There are only a small number of these being produced as there are less of these watches in circulation. As mentioned before the cost of these is £40 and includes shipping. I will tell you now that there are only about 65 of these available so some of you might miss out. If there are sufficient requests then a further run will be done in the new year. Again do not PM or email me just yet.

  25. One of our members actually just had dinner with both of them (and very enjoyable it was too by all accounts) on a recent trip to Asia - so they are definitely two people!!!
