  1. Your Corino looks great Joey, is that one of your dials? Wow The crystals are both correct, the tropic 38 was used early on, it's a super dome with no cyclops! They did use gilt dials until 66 I believe but the pcg's stopped in 63 and with them so did the swiss only radium dials.. For a 61 like mine it shouldn't have the later swiss t<25 dial but it's still ok, would have been changed during a service for example. Thanks Whoop, You make a lot of sense, essentially gilt is gilt and it's gilt
  2. I wanted to share what I found the other day. A friend of a friend had this project that he has been collecting parts for over the years, he decided to give up and sell it to me! Actually it was a trade for my gmt ii c and a little extra cash. let me present to you the parts collected so far.. he did a good job except the gilt dial is in not so perfect condition, and it's really supposed to be a swiss only gilt dial for such an early piece. Not sure if I will keep it or try to find a swiss..
  3. Thanks, honestly though, I wouldn't have bought it unless it did, the lugs are overpolished so that was its saving grace
  4. I agree great pic Dbane! Thanks again Mendota, if you ever make it to Montreal it would be my pleasure to show you them.
  5. It's too much money. Here's one for much less, http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=409412 Actually almost half as much and is LNIB
  6. Oops! I'm not at home so I can't use my computer to post a huge res shot but here's a lower res version from my phone update pic has been fixed
  7. I use xbmc set up by a serious geek! However it uses a list of links to stream and the one I always pick from the list is vodlocker, consistently works. Here's a link for anyone to use with any device that has a browser. It's not very convenient to use for shows because they are harder to find withought the help of xbmc but for movies or a recent episode it's great http://vodlocker.com/?op=search Just search for whatever you want and stream
  8. Phong did my 6200 engraving and it's fantastic. Doesn't charge too much for that
  9. Thank guys, it has thin lugs but I couldn't say no with that dial at that price I'm happy!
  10. Just excited! Got it yesterday Thanks
  11. Mine is a 6538 red custom dial with gen hands, gen crown, gen t17, gen 1030 movement, gen 7206 band, gen bezel and gen long 5 insert made with worn pad.. And a rep phong midcase/caseback
  12. Well I can say that you got it at a decent price! Saw it on vrm, it's perfect!
  13. The owner is jacob the jeweler, went to jail for money laundering and dealing with the mafia..
  14. Beautiful long 5 (nicest version imo), you are going to have such a nice watch, the dial is stunning
  15. ^ yup Ideally for the lowest cost but good build it should be phong case, genuine fat font insert (really helps but phong's red triangle insert is acceptable), 1030 movement, minh dial at the very least, Michael young hands, genuine 8mm brevet crown, genuine t17 (extremely important) and a rep rivet band is ok. That's 5000$ in parts without a genuine insert. Does not include the cost of putting it together and having the movement serviced. So imo You have to be committed to spending that.
  16. There is a learning curve but it looks like you figured it out rather quickly, very nice!
