  1. Exactly! I mean the inside of the lugs shouldn't have more wear/patina than the outside of the case and band... Right!?
  2. No other way.. Unfortunately
  3. Conveniently, looks a lot like the after pic of the bezel in the pamphlet that Phillip posted..
  4. Here's an example of what he has for sale now that shows a case and band that look like they have been hermetically sealed for 20 years, clearly refinished/re-beveled.. His 'guy' is an artist, seriously
  5. I just looked at his current inventory and it seems like it's 50/50. He seems to have watches that have obv been refinished and ones that have not. You can't have a case that is claimed to be untouched or unpolished and have a dial with heavy patina it's a blatant contradiction. I'm very curious to see what comes of this as well. I can't believe they are going to X-ray them, how exciting!
  6. Wow Freddy, I had no idea that that's the reason you were booted.. What a bunch of cowards. I think that his stuff looks very fishy which is why I would buy from a dealer like Jacek or any number of other dealers selling honest stuff but not him. His unpolished cases are such a farse, the bands on every single one of them look like they just came out of a package, not even rub marks from where the end links touch and rub on the end of the band.. That tells me that he has someone refinishing the bands and the same person is re-bevelling the case and refinishing both the polished and matt surfaces. The finish is too perfect on both his bands and cases, I have no doubt that he did not recieve them in that condition, impossible.
  7. Did you use this email address? spinmaster91@gmail.com
  8. Cool, I guess it was the colour of the metal that threw me off. I've always wanted to get my hands on one of those printers, I could replicate gen parts to the micron.. And then send them to phong or someone to make exact copies in metal

True, update, I called him and blasted him about his very strange behaviour. He ended telling me to send both dials back in their present state and he will refund my full amount, that's good if that's what ends up happening. I couldn't go back to sleep after reading his email about the 600$ replacement cost of the 50$ dial I put in the oven. Having said all that I realize I'm partially at fault for cooking the first dial but to be fair he did tell me to keep it.. I tend to get very upset very quickly and I need to work on that. I don't play games with people, I'm very straight so when I don't get that same treatment back I get upset. I hope to be more patient in the future. I think the biggest frustration is the language barrier.. When you just want to spew your thoughts out but you can't, you have to articulate every word it's not fun.
  10. Did you make that case in a 3d printer blue?

Probably, no joke, he just sent me an email saying that he needs 600$ to 'redo the dial I put in the oven. At first he told me to keep it and sent me a 'replacement' that was exactly the same so now he wants 600$ to replace a 50$ dial. I told him to go _ himself. I have no patience for this piece of shit and I don't feel like arguing back and forth. As far as I'm concerned he is a slimy disgusting joke of a dealer. I'm actually buying a phong case to put the guts of my 6538 into because the though of walking around with Minh's parts on my wrist disgusts me.
  12. Watch is nice, but that keychain! Where can I get one? That's super cool, I saw the large one made of bronze at my watchmakers the other day, he said it was an old pressure tester, wow! Looks like the white hand wins
  13. Very appropriate Freddy, I love that one, classy. Swapped out the seconds hand for a white one, I'm not sure which I like better

So sorry to hear that Denim, it will sell fast I'm sure. Well it's the same tropic N but it came with the watch. I was saving yours for the next build with the Minh dial if that ever gets worked out. And at the very least I have a spare for this one.
