I follow Timon and Pumba's philosophy of ... "a'kuna ma tata" ... got no worries. Sometimes I am on time, sometimes early, sometimes late. If others who are meeting me are late it is no bother to me at all ... I have something interesting about watches to read with me at all times. Cell phones have made life very easy for me. I think that it is my personality to not to take myself and others too seriously. I can understand how someone else may feel differently because they may not have the same control of their career or business. When I first went into business I needed other people more than they needed me and my philosophy was very different than it is now. Today, after a quarter century in business I have enough business coming to me to afford me the luxury of being selective in who I take on as a client and setting my terms of how I work.

I am a fan of Whisky of the Scotch and American type. Aberlour Scotch, Dalwhinnie Scotch, KnxB Creek Bourbon served neat followed by a strong black coffee chaser. Hmmmm nothing like it when it is thirty below outside and you have just come in and the fire roaring is going in the fireplace.

I like the look and the rubber band suits it well - any idea how large this watch is?

Tuesday is AP Wempe Diver day for me

I have one of these and am very happy with the quality. It is a great looking watch, but I swapped off the rubber strap for a gen alligator one and now it looks even better.

Mailman just came and dropped off the TT Daytona I purchased from UB7. I removed the bracelet and swapped it fro a genuine Alligator strap and a custom made solid 18k gold deployant. I really prefer the look of a Rolex on a strap and prefer gen alligator for a strap.

What makes you believe he knows what he is talking about? He said it was fake and you agreed with him. You could have said he was full of it and he would never have known it was not gen. He likely pulled the $50 figure out of thin air. This guy is a dodgy friend. What is he going to try next?

My IWC St Exupery would be the one even though it is rose gold. This is the watch I always grab when I am having difficulty choosing a watch to wear. I have become accustomed to having it around just like my favorite hat and boots. They would have to come with me on that trip too.

Nothing funny has happened to me but my last experience selling a watch was very bad. That is why I am not going to sell any of the watches I no longer wear, instead I am just going to give them to people who will appreciate and wear them. I am not in the business of making money from reps I just want to enjoy this as a hobby.

I have a 7 inch wrist and find the 45 mm UPO size fine. It is a matter of personal taste. Last year I was comfortable with 36mm Datejusts and now find them small. It is what you get used to.
