  1. I think you should get him a "set" presentation box w/ accessories corresponding to the kind of watch you're giving him. That way he will have the whole shabang, and his replica will seem that much more real and complete.

The rep boxes are nice, and if you do decide on Rolex, you can pick up a gen boxset on ebay for an even more authentic feel. I know if I was to get such a gift, I would be very pleased indeed!

    Good luck!

  2. Lots of people have said great comments about this particular watch. In my opinion, you can't really be a watch collector unless you own a flying tourbillon.

Experiencing these kinds of watches touches so many senses... to see the movement's graceful motion, to hear its precise ticking, to feel its elegant textures, to whiff the gentle aromas emanating from the leather, and even to kiss it passionately and romantically is both unforgettable and almost sensual.

  3. It's also worth the extra cash, knowing that EuroTimez does QC on the watches :good:

...eh so do most noobmariner/nymphomariner dealers.

I guess the euromariner is for people with money who can't accept when something is "good enough". I'm happy spending my $98 on a near-perfect sub and then using the remaining $375 for an/other watche(s) but I guess if you just absolutely must have the correct date mag to such inhumanly close standards then there you go.... you now have an option! ^_^

  4. Also, look up gold plated vs. gold wrapped.

You just opened up a big can of worms! There is a huge debate regarding the accuracy of these phrases, and many experts believe they are nothing but marketing slogans while in reality gold content is almost impossible to determine given the generally dubious policies of manufacturers.

Same goes for the amount of "mils" watches claim to have.

  5. I believe there is no such thing as TRUE solid 14K or 18K gold in the replica world. I heard what you are actually getting is a solid 8K or 10K watch with a plating of 18K or 14K gold. Either way it is not worth the money.

    (edit)

Joshua sells two solid gold president models for $4,288 a piece... they are advertised as true 100% solid 18k yellow gold but if you actually consider the price of gold today and the size/amount of gold in this watch it becomes a little curious. There is a reason Rolex has a retail price on this for $27,500

  6. So in other worlds, it is for people who cannot cope with a REAL society...

    And Hublot promotes this????

WOW, says alot for that marque!

"Hey, you know we have targeted sailing, auto, soccer, sport, boating, fashion, food, jewelry enthusiasts right? Well, what about internet nerds? They need watches too right!?!?!"

Hublot... one hit wonder success story still milking the same design to stay afloat.

"How about a Big Bang 56k Modem Wi-Fi Ethernet Edition?"

  7. A suit should be a second skin...and who cares about the brand...nobody see the brand of the suit anyway.

But everyone will remember: "wow, that guy was wearing a great suit!" They might add "it's a Boss"

Some people wear their suits with the manufacturer label still sewn onto the sleeve. This is for whom replica clothing is made.
