  1. I kinda agree, I think the rep isn't as bad as people say. We will never see this watch with correct subdial spacing, unless they do a "frozen" subdial version with non-working chronos. Same thing with the Broad Arrow and Schumacher. The white datewheel is still something that needs to be fixed. Hands are too short and thin (probably same hands that 4th Gens use). And just as we predicted the HE valve is too high now. But overall the dial finishing and everything else looks ok to me. If you're going to buy the rep the subdial spacing is something that you just need to live with. I don't think this is going to improve dramatically... sad but true. Here's Joshua's pics:
  2. Possibly. I hope to own this rep one of these days, I love it. And without any bias I'd say the new TAG Link Chrono is a good challenger. Perhaps not technically, but at least visually.
  3. Beautiful Rollies Jet. The old TW Best case is still the best 16610 case they ever did.
  4. Ah well...most informative threads are buried in the old RWG. Search around there and you should find something.
  5. Actually I find it quite surprising that so few members buy DateJusts and DayDates. Some of the reps are excellent (esp. the stainless steel versions). Maybe they're more considered as "old man watches" and generally too small. Everybody wants 40mm+ watches these days. Even Sub is considered small which definitely wasn't the issue 20 years ago.
  6. Hi KingKite. Did you read this one? I linked there every possible thread I was able to find about the dial & bezel aging process. Look at the end of the article (lots of information by Palpatine): http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=927
  7. Homer was a UK-based dealer. I'm afraid he's out of business now. He was selling the same watches as other dealers though.
  8. These 7750-powered watches have a "slow date change"... and photographing them after 10:30pm isn't a good idea (especially if you're trying to sell the watch). I've seen many genuine 7750-powered watches with "misaligned dates" due to bad "timing".
  9. Do yourself a favour and stay far away from Natalie Lee.
  10. Yeah, date window being offcenter is quite common in TAGs. Member "Category 5" returned his genuine Aquaracer 2000 because of that. PS: Link Automatic Chronograph retails at $2800... but they sell it for $1700 everywhere. It's not a 2900€ watch by no means. The top model Calibre 36 is in that price category.
  11. Beautiful pics guys! @Dani: Great collection my friend... but man... you need to buy a PAM to add some variation.
  12. Wow, that must be one of the most pathetic scams I've seen. What an idiot!
  13. Good catch. I didn't even notice... I was blinded by its beauty!
  14. First look at this horrible... thing. Then check out the "Mother of Pearl". and last but not least The Ruby Red beauty!!! I'd like to see the person who buys these. Perhaps a superrich trailer trash like Paris Hilton?
  15. I hate to be rude but that looks like a gold plated piece of dog turd. PS: They say diamonds are forever... but this one is easily forgettable.
  16. Needless to say I'm on a honeymoon with my new baby.
  17. Always at your service. PO rules!!!! @Melvin: That's a GREAT wristshot!!!
  18. I bet it takes a year to build a review like that.
  19. I totally agree. Best cg work I have ever seen. Ditto what Repaustria said. You should start offering your services to others, since the rep factories will never get the cg's right. Excellent, excellent work!!!
  20. One thing still... I found this picture of (supposedly) a genuine TAG Link Chronograph from TimeZone sales forum archives (brushed bezel version) and it has date font positioned more right than on my rep. So I wouldn't worry about the datewheel too much. Or maybe it's the shadow on the dial that's doing the trick?
  21. Thanks!!! I haven't studied the Link GMT that much... but looks like an accurate rep. The basic Link & GMT models have very simplistic design but I like them both. My biggest draw on this watch was the "Link bracelet". I wanted to have one TAG with this design. Both ETA (non-chrono) Link models are excellent alternatives too (for people who don't trust the 7750). Please post a review when you receive them.
  22. Thanks guys. The blue color depends on the lighting. The dial is "electric" blue and the middlesection of the dial has those mentioned "stripes". Here's 2 untouched, straight out of camera pics. Perhaps they give better picture of the color. PS: I've kept the chrono running for the last 20 hours straight. No probs and it keeps excellent time.
  23. That white one ain't too shabby either. Beautiful watches & pics. Thanks for sharing!!!
  24. Don't go even near this watch... and I don't understand that our dealers even sell this shit. The only thing correct in this watch is the hand stack (GMT hand placed over the hour hand correctly). But according to Joshua even this arrangement has given tons of reliability problems with this model. Here's a small list of problems for you (did this a while back when someone asked the same questions about it): Edit: Apparently they have fixed the date font for the newer versionl. I've seen this rep with the thick (and non-centered) font. It's still very inaccurate rep.
