Say what you want you jealous ba*tards but the new owner just LOVES it.

I think the most fascinating thing in the original Star Wars trilogy was that _everything_ was not told. Darth Vader and Emperor were mysterious figures which was just the "thing" of the original movies. The new trilogy ruined that and everything else. PS: I just watched the new trilogy again and those movies must be the worst films ever created. Revenge of the Shit felt almost bearable when I saw if for the first time (in a movie theatre) but after the second look it's almost as horrible as the Ep 1 and 2. Acting and dialogue are awful and the whole plot is tasteless and laughable. Anakin turns to the dark side in 15 minutes... come on. "Once again Sith will RUUUUULE THE GALAXY..." oh puh-leeeeze! Ian McDirmid was awesome (as always) but he can't help if the dialogue and plot are written by a demented vegetable. Thanks George Lucas for destroying my image of the greatest movie trilogy ever. The new films are nothing but brainless, computerized Muppet Show. (Sorry for the rant).

Review of Modded Mbw Rolex 1680 Submariner
By-Tor replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
Thanks Tribal. You had excellent and informative posts about your 1680 mods but they were all in the old RWG. Didn't want to link stuff from the dying forum. Maybe to the next update... -
Go here and you'll get answers to all your movement questions. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=74 Next time (before you ask general questions like this), please read a little bit and educate yourself before you post... and check the "Knowledge Base" forum section. Good luck, and welcome.

Submariner reps (bot SS, TT and all-gold) all have oversized winding crowns. The guards on the rep aren't spot on, either. The rep factories will never get the guards 100% correct, I've accepted that already. These are very good rep cg's though. The bracelet last link is a bit loose and the SEL doesn't sit perfectly in the lugs. The last link of the bracelet should be a bit "inside" and between the lugs, now it's hanging outside. SUBMARINER font isn't as crisp as genuine. The crystal and rehaut don't merge properly and you can see the thicker white "seal ring" on the fake crystal. The plated SEL is still the biggest flaw of this rep. Still it's improved a lot (compared to old rep versions). But indistingushable from the gen? To a casual observer and even an average watch enthusiast? Yes. But for a RWG rep nerd? Not even close.

Cleaning lady dumped my MBW 1680 into the recycling

When you discovered what happened... did you measure your blood pressure by any chance? I bet it was like volcano at "Dante's Peak". -
That's a fugly watch for sure. Gayest Omega ever, no doubt. But what do you except...they just HAD to answer the bell when Rolex released the Leopard Daytona.
-
Yep. But I think the genuine is only produced in blue. Not sure though. I'm not a huge fan of that dial, either. The original looks better (imho).
-
@vric: Thanks for reposting this. I remember this post from the old RWG. Very nice (both watch and the pictures). The "old stock" Blue SMP is such an awesome rep, I'll never part with mine.
-
The dial is MUCH better than any of the previous rep models. It has the correct deep, a bit "electric" blue tint in it. Old rep versions were too violet. The bezel pearl looks very good as well. Crown guards aren't 100% correct but much better than previously. The only thing that keeps me from buying this is the bracelet/SEL last link. But that's the usual blues with the TT Oyster rep bracelets. Great looking watch nevertheless, very tempting. Thanks for sharing the great pics too.

I've been changing between this and the Speedy since Tuesday but I think I'll wear the GMT all through the weekend. Took a fresh wrist shot too. How about you, let's see some kick ass premium quality reps.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm an admin at other sites (not watch related) but I have never seen those before. I wasn't worried or anything, it was just a strange sight. PS: Does this site show up in Google - and can we somehow prevent it? We have discussed this before and most people seem to think that it would be beneficial to the community to stay as "underground" as possible... at least in the long run.
-
Wonder what this means? How can the web address google.com show up in the active users list? Wouldn't it be much better if this website didn't show up in Google? And does this have anything to do with it?
-
I'll get the 4th gen PO (black or orange, doesn't matter) as soon as an EU dealer (or member) offers it.
-
Yeah, it's kinda wild. BTW, the second picture is from a genuine watch (if someone didn't figure it out). And it wasn't actually this one that made it to the Forbes' most expensive list. Dunno how much this costs... it was Omega Skeleton Central Tourbillon ($282.500). Check it out: http://www.forbes.com/lifestyle/2005/11/28...129feat_ls.html

Uh huh... this is "interesting"... to say at least. King offers this new Speedy "Venus" Skeleton rep. The funny thing is: there IS a genuine Speedmaster Skeleton "Moon Base Limited Edition" watch (made of platinum) which costs about billion dollars. Only 57 pieces were made, and it looks quite a lot different from the rep. (I recall this watch made it to the top-20 most expensive watches in the world list).

Thanks Randy. I hope I didn't miss any of your "bread and butter" reviews from the links. -
The tax man can't get his hands into my money because I have already made some arrangements with certain Swiss banks. And I only communicate with IRS people through my lawyer Vitriolli Corleone and his Family. Sorry. Edit: Damn, he already taxed me. I guess I have to call my "financial adviser" Luca Brasi. I'm sure he'll take care of this matter for me.

Review of Modded Mbw Rolex 1680 Submariner
By-Tor replied to By-Tor's topic in By-Tor's Watch Reviews
Thanks. I'm amazed how many excellent information of the MBW/WM 1680 there is (posted by the members). Let's hope newbies can use this as a reference guide in the future. Some of those links are priceless. -
This has been answered at least 500 times. But let's do it again: You need to push the pins out a bit with jeweler's screwdriver or some kind of thick needle (use a small hammer to hit the screwdriver/needle)... and then use pliers to pull the pins out. In the backside of your Speedy bracelet you should find small arrows pointing at the direction of the pins (and what direction you should push them). Detach the link and then use the hammer again to push the pins in. Don't force it or you might damage the pin. If the pin is in correct spot (going to the holes) you don't need to hit them hard. It's very easy and you'd better learn to do it yourself (if you purchase more watches in the future). You can also buy a bracelet pin tool if you want but personally I have never needed one. Works well with "home tools" as well.

Big Bang is so ultra cool. Why isn't it repped yet? Some more eyecandy for you:

I'm not a huge fan of many ultra-expensive watches. My list of 5 could be obtained by any average millionaire. This was actually an impossible case (too many great watches), but let's just say I could live with all these (for starters):
