  1. The PO chrono is an absolute killer. Dunno what color combo I'll choose for my rep when it arrives. Mmmmm... decisions, decisions...
  2. If it's 2836-powered GMT the GMT hand _should_ be adjustable. Can't say for sure though... but try this... Read THIS and scroll all the way to the tutorial part (How to use & set the GMT hand in ETA 2836-2 version):
  3. Yes it's possible to find one in shitty condition for $800... but in that price range they're mostly quartz and midsizes (which people often mix up with the professional model).
  4. Wow, nice Rolex. Is it real? I don't know but the second hand sweeps and it looks so damn good. What are you wearing?
  5. A few of my favourites: Led Zeppelin - "Thank You" Rush - "Nobody's Hero" and "Afterimage" Journey - "Winds of March" (old Santana-inspired Journey, long before Steve Perry turned this talented band to cheesy shit) Grateful Dead - "I will take you home" Pretenders - "Back on the chain gang" The Who - "Behind blue eyes" Fleetwood Mac - "These Strange Times" I dunno if any of these are "ballads" in traditional sense but they're all beautiful, sad - and still very powerful songs. Maybe Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven" is a bit too much, but it's a good song about a sad tragedy.
  6. We have a few examples how reps ALWAYS seem to get worse when they reach certain point. Omega Seamaster "Bond" and 007 Special Edition being a prime examples (just like Bilbo mentioned). Rolex GMT Master II is another... and Planet Ocean can probably be added to the list as well (eventually)... I seriously doubt they'll ever make better version than the 4th gen. I could be wrong though. Even the most requested replica watch, modern Rolex Submariner can't be perfected. They simply can't - or don't want to do it (for whatever reason). They have gotten a lot better though. But perfect? Nope, we can always spot the flaws from ANY rep.
  7. I've been trying to find old games (in avi/mpg format) from Mexico 1986 and Italy 1990 tournaments. Especially the game between Brazil and Argentina 1990... and the final game Germany vs Argentina in 1986. Trying to do a favour for a friend. Tried Emule and the usual torrent sites without success. Can anyone help?
  8. Nobody was making fun of you... we just laughed at the horrible replicas at that site. You can find the best quality replicas in the world through the dealers in this forum. You could start from checking out the links in my signature for some quality stuff. Good luck.
  9. They also have a great GMT. Man this is awesome, even Stevie Wonder couldn't tell the difference.
  10. Tried to find it from Paul's site but couldn't. Link? Edit: nevermind, I found it. Looks like the same watch as Andrew's. Excellent price, $120 less than Andrew's!!!!
  11. White GMT is such a beauty and no decent (or excellent) rep exists. I'm always excited to see your Omega projects. Keep us posted.

It's really weird that they discontinued the old excellent version and replaced it with the new. Yes I agree it's still a nice rep but why change something what was already awesome? Same kind of "backwards update" happened with the other SMP models (such as the 2255.80, GMT and Electric Blue... and now apparently even with the PO). Not to mention Rolex GMT Master II...even greater extent... sometimes the rep factories make absolutely no sense to me. But thanks for the comparison, good stuff. And enjoy your gen SMP. I love the watch and I'd get a gen as well if the rep wasn't so good.
  13. Thanks Randy for getting it going. Usually I change watches almost every day but now I've been wearing the Speedy through the whole week.
  14. I always have a soft spot for this one. Congrats for the great watch!!!
  15. Correct, this flaw has been fixed now. If you look at the old TT rep endlink you'll see the thin layer of plated (or wrapped) gold over the stainless which looked extremely FAKE. Now that's fixed in Paul's watch, apparently. Great improvement indeed.
  16. Saabin fitted a genuine movement into his MBW DRSD. That's probably easier fit due to thicker case? Strange that gen movement doesn't fit into 1680 with the exact 1:1 case and everything.
  17. I haven't opened the watch but I'm 99,9% sure it looks like this. My watch is over a year old so it's most likely the old movement version.
  18. r11co is correct, I didn't even notice the flaws in your watch (rather sloppy from a "Omega expert", eh?) Anyway... if you ordered the watch based on the picture with black datewheel that's the watch you should receive. I think the minute hand in your watch is shorter too. Your watch is definitely the previous generation GMT. Still a beautiful watch though.
  19. I was going to add something about the bracelet to the review as well, but decided not to. I found the Breitling bracelet very easy (although very time consuming) to resize. You also have to be sure that the links go to the bracelet correct way (i.e brushed side down). Otherwise the links don't go smoothly into the holes. Those small attachment screws are very easy to lose as well. Make sure you won't drop anything when you do the resizing job. With all links intact Navitimer bracelet barely fit on my wrist. If you have exceptionally HUGE wrists you'll need extra links from your dealer. I believe that's worth to mention.
  20. My watch choice for the Wednesday: Speedmaster.
  21. Beautiful watch. I added this link to my Omega guide because this is the first pictorial of this rep. If you post more pictures and info please edit the original post and add it to this thread. Thanks.
  22. Beautiful collection, thanks for sharing. I love 'em all!
