  1. Hmm, I disagree...I think most RWG hardcores are both Rolex and PAM fans. I have lots of friends in the community who didn't like PAMs at first but eventually someone fu**ed up their head with that endless PAM propaganda. I tried to save their soul (that's what friends are for) but it was too late already. Seriously: The forum and community wouldn't be the same without PAMs. They're nice watches and excellent replicas...and I can certainly see why so many people like them. Handsome watches indeed. Maybe one day I'll get one. I never thought I could become a Breitling fan but that's exactly what happened. Never say never.
  2. I would probably end up with just as big collection as others if I didn't keep the principle "If I don't wear it, I'll trade it". Quite strange...I like to "experience" some watches, rather than wear them. But it's a nevereding cycle: now I want a TAG Link Chronograph (the new rep is gorgeous). Also Breitling Chronomat (saw a sleazy lawyer wearing a black stainless steel one and it was a KILLER!!!). Where is the rep already? I used to find myself lusting after many Rolex models. I almost bought a ExpII, Daytona and many different Sub incarnations (I just count that I have owned 4 Subs). But then I never wear them (except the GMT). So I guess no more Rolexes for me. g.gif I agree with RT: It's amazing that people don't do their homework (even though all the info in the world is available)... and then end up overpaying for inferior models.
  3. I think "outdated" rep models are a bit problematic. Like modern Submariners. Year ago it wasn't unusual to invest $500 to a CN Sub + mods which was FULL of flaws (even after mods). This was my Sub (believe it or not...it was among the best ones 12 months ago!!!): Now even the $100 Noobmariner is WAY more accurate, right out of box. And people still want mint from these outdated modded watches. Then let's take 3rd gen Planet Ocean. AWESOME replica watch, better than most. If the 4th gen never surfaced (which is simply one of the best reps ever) the 3rd gen would still sell like hotcakes. But who want that watch anymore... now that Paul sells the 4th gen for $179? If that rep suddenly disappears from the market (like the old SMP)... hmm...reps don't hold their value? This is not always the case.
  4. I have sold and bought many watches with fellow members. Never, ever any problems. I'd much rather take a 2-week/2 months used watch from another member than start playing roulette with Paul (although his prices are often unbeatable). If the member is well known and trusted and SPEAKS PROPER ENGLISH (unlike some dealers)... and resides in EU/USA it's much better option. I'm willing to pay $20 - $30 extra, even. Who cares about twenty bucks? This is where the reps fail, the problems usually surface right in the beginning... and if a member has owned the watch for weeks/months it has already survived the first "quality control phase". But of course there are people who want their watches brand new. I can understand that with gold plated dress watches maybe, but people who complain about miniscule scratches in stainless steel sports watches (from normal wear) are weird, imho. My all member transactions have been absolutely perfect. We have a great community here. Just stay away from noob dealers and members in the sales section and you'll be fine.
  5. Thanks guys. Sometimes I feel I'm the only one here who never got the PAM fever. I have tried on a genuine and it's an interesting watch... and I really appreciate the uniqueness of design. But they're just not for me. I'd wear a blue Regatta though. Currently I'm lusting after TAG Link Chronograph and black SS/TT Breitling Chronomat (when a great rep comes out). But right now I can't get my new PO off my wrist, it's just amazing.
  6. Thanks Rek!!! The Ebel is missing from the group shot again. My brother "borrows" it all the time.
  7. Thanks Cray. But your link doesn't work. It's actually here http://replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic....&highlight= It's currently on hold for Kevin though.
  8. Some wristshots: Tudor "Military" Submariner WM: Ebel 1911 Chrono: Modern Sub, gone: 3rd Gen PO, gone: 4th Gen PO: SMP: TAG Link Automatic Chronograph: MBW 1680, gone (sniff): "Pepsi" GMT: My fiancee's TAG Link: Black/Red (burgundy) GMT: Speedy: Speedy "Reduced": Breitling Navitimer: And the newest acquisition: The Mighty "Noobmariner":
  9. Congrats Edge. Couldn't have gone to a better guy!!!
  10. "Oh no, another Omega Planet Ocean review" I hear you cry. We have enough of these, don't we? But I have recently made reviews of all my new rep purchases and members have found them useful - so why this one should be the exception? As soon as the 4th generation PO surfaced it has easily been the most popular replica watch among the members. And for good reason. Because of its overwhelming popularity and status I thought it deserves a "reference guide". I already wrote this guide a while back and just added pictures when my own 4th gen arrived. Again I tried to link all essential reviews of this rep to one article, so you can consider this review a "PO addition" into my Omega Guide. But let's quickly do the "basics" again: The biggest difference between the 45mm and 42mm models (plus the size and case of course) is the clasp. The 45mm version has the engraving "Seamaster PROFESSIONAL PLANET OCEAN" while the 42mm version only has engraving "Seamaster PLANET OCEAN". The 4th gen PO is a replica of the smaller version, and thus the clasp engraving is correct. Another difference is the Omega logo placement on the dial. In 45mm version it should be further apart from the OMEGA text, and in 42mm version it's closer, which the rep tries to emulate. On the rep the logo is a bit too close. But I believe there are differencies between the individual watches. I've seen the logo actually go _over_ the Omega text in some members' watches, while it seems to be placed nicely in my watch. The luminous effect of the 4th Gen PO isn't as good as the gen (naturally), but it's still the best I've ever seen on any unmodified replica watch. I briefly owned the 3rd generation PO. It was an excellent replica watch. The lack of PLANET OCEAN engraving on the clasp and other flaws didn't bother me the slightest... but perhaps a bit "pale" orange bezel color and very dark datewheel font did. So I eventually traded it. Still, I can highly recommend it to anyone - as great deals of the 3rd gen can be found. There's absolutely no difference in quality, weight and feel. I was without a PO for months because I only buy from EU dealers... and for some strange reason none of them were able to source this rep. But it was only a matter of time when I had this fun watch on my wrist again. I bought mine from a fellow member (Sevomd) and it was shipped to me from EU by Edge to avoid customs trouble (big thanks Edge, it's very much appreciated). This is the best and friendliest community I've ever been a member of. The hands were excellent in the 3rd gen. They're a bit too small in the 4th version. If the hand length bothers you, you can always buy genuine hands and install them yourself. Like I said, the weight and solid quality feel is there (just like in the 3rd version). Here's the traditional review wristshot: Planet Ocean 4th generation is a remarkable replica watch and I suspect it eventually becomes a RWG classic like MBW vintages and "Bond" Seamaster. Another "must have" watch for all hardcore rep nerds.
  11. Always nice to see members' shooting their watches and constructing nice wallpapers!!! That's what this forum is all about. Keep up the good work!
  12. There are no differences between the watch (not that I know). Dealers don't make the watches, they just have access to the products of certain replica factories. Usually there are two or three different replica models from the most popular watches (Submariner, Daytonas, Seamasters, Speedmasters, etc.). Most of the time it's completely meaningless to compare "River's and Eddie's PO" because they often have access to the exact same watches...and/or offer two or three different replica models of the same watch. The fact that very few people realize is that modern MBW ETA-powered watches are usually the same as River's offerings. Most of the time. Joshua and King have very similar catalog. Probably because they use the same factory? Why the price difference you ask? Because some people are willing to pay $90 extra for Andrew's better reputation. Paul has been trying to improve his image lately, so I might give him a shot. Contrary what other people tell you: First choose (and study) the watch you want, then choose your dealer (as long as you choose one from the trusted ones). Don't think that all replicas from a certain dealer are excellent. They are not. But then again, none of our dealers sell really bad replicas. We have access to the best quality stuff on the planet.
  13. Yeah, typical. But still nothing compared to the fiasco yesterday in the Italy-Australia game. Bad free kick (from 35 meters) is much smaller fiasco than a bad penalty. Spain penalty today was very light as well. They need to get video refs to these games (like in hockey). Sepp Blatter and FIFA are to blame... these FIFA dinosaurs have been against the use of all new technology for decades. Quite retarded if you ask me. Game has gotten so much faster and players are much better actors these days...so the refs just can't keep up with their stunts anymore. Too many games in this world cup have already been decided by bad referee calls. Actually, it has always the same song: In 1966 England's questionable goal, 1982 Schumacher's outrageous attack on Battiston, 1986 Maradona's "Hand of God", 1990 totally ridiculous penalty awarded to the Germans which decided the championship (in the final against Argentina), etc. etc.
  14. You don't even have to use the search button. This is sticky in the Rolex picture gallery (and includes tons of links to MBW watch reviews). Shouldn't be too hard to find: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=927
  15. Welcome to Omega Club Tribal...PO is such a beast!!!
  16. I sure do. Never get tired of it.
  17. Hi, what a great football day this is: First Ghana will shock the world and beat Brazil (yeah right) and France will surprise everyone and suddenly get their act together. Zidane and Henry still have enough talent to beat Spain. Nothing agaist Spain but I like surprises. This tournament has offered too few of them. Oh yeah, the watch. I'm wearing the Mighty Seamaster this great football Tuesday (snapped a new pic and wristshot, even).
  18. I linked this pictorial to my Omega guide (just like Leitztozeiss' excellent Omega 4th gen PO comparison with genuine).

Once again great shots Bazz!!! I always enjoy your pics.
  20. Good story. But why did you invent that ignorant asshole over here? You should have sent him straight to Replicacenter.
  21. There's absolutely no doubt about it: 4th gen PO is one of the best reps ever made. The pearl is the only really _noticeable_ difference, and the big shots greatly exaggerate it.
  22. I wonder if it was the same game we were watching. Neill went down long before Grosso had gotten to him, which was stupid in its own right. Grosso then played it around him, and leapt over him. Now, that was the strange part to me. Neill was just an immobile body at the edge of the 6. If Grosso wanted, im sure he could've just gone around him, but instead he leapt, and it almost seemed like he dragged his left foot down intentionally to catch Neill's body and fall. That was a horrible penalty call.
