10 hours of work and the end result was that? Well... ok. Daytona is a tough watch to shoot, but the guy clearly overcontrasted and overlit the watch from the beginning. And besides, most of that preparation work was useless. If your box has good basic setup, you don't have to set up the paper angles for hours. Maybe it was just a way of charging more money for this medicore work.

River Raid... that was quite a classic. Pitfall too. But H.E.R.O. was my favorite from ActiVision. My first gaming machine was Atari 2600, then came Vectrex. C64 was the "ultimate" as you got literally thousands of games for free. PS: Elite (Firebird) was a great game too. I never managed to graduate from "deadly" to -> "elite". I still wonder what it took to complete the game.

Jumpman was cool. Other great games that I remember: Monty Mole Spelunker Raid on Bungeling Bay Whistler's Brother Lode Runner All Infocom text adventures Uridium Super Cycle Winter & Summer Games Pitstop II Defender of the Crown Maniac Mansion M.U.L.E. etc. etc.

This is definetely a WM9 version 1 watch. The original "Super Sub". I don't know who produced it but it sure was the same one George used to sell. No one remembers my review of it? v1 had the best SELs ever made... I have v1 SELs on my v2 Sub. That's the best combo there is.

I always thought Boston was a bit cheesy but damn that Scholtz's guitar sound is SO unique...

Good morning people. Haven't had much time to do the wrist checks lately. Today is a well deserved day off, spending it with this on my wrist.

944 is a great car. Turbo version is a bad ass vehicle, and highly underrated very fast car which handles great. But for me the 928 GTS is simply the coolest car ever made. I have dreamed about one since I was a teenager. The lines of 944 are a bit dated (imho) but the 928 will always look absolutely timeless. PS: Sorry people for takin' this offtopic.

Yes I know my friend. 996 is a superior car technically (as I said in my previous post)... it outperforms the old version in every department... it's an amazing car and a good looking car in its own merits, but not when compared to the 80's model which is an absolute classic. Just imho. I don't like the "Boxster front" on 996 at all. Pretty much the same argument against the new steel Sub... it has nothing to do with technical facts, just emotion. But of course those are just my subjective opinions. PS: Actually I'm a "Shark man" through and through. I love the 928. Especially the late 90's GTS... the only reason why I don't own one yet is that it's a scary animal. It eats your wallet dry.

Exactly. Original classic: Ruined boxter-front 996: Best originals cost more in Germany than their 15 years younger counterparts (despite being technically inferior). You shouldn't try to "improve" perfection.
